As we approach the end of the comedy tour of the Republican primaries and debates, we can sum up in only a few points the defining position of that party as they prepare for the general election.

    1. Our economy has serious problems, and we’re the best to fix them, since after all we’re the ones that caused them.

    2. Let’s talk about vaginas, condoms, birth control pills, and why women shouldn’t be paid the same as dudes. Women aren’t qualified to have opinions on those things, just us guys. Besides, we think burkas are sexy.

    3. Too danged many Americans have health insurance, and we promise to fix that and repeal the health care reform measure that was modeled after the plan our nominee first implemented while he was a governor.

    4. Truth and facts are highly overrated.

    5. Let’s go ahead and bomb Iran. The current president ended one needless war, and Halliburton and big oil companies need a replacement for all those no bid contracts that have come to an end.

    6. There isn’t a single good reason to end the temporary tax cuts for billionaires when we can make up the difference by raising taxes on the middle class and poor folks.

    7. Wall Street doesn’t need to be regulated. It’s just needless regulations hindering the free market system we so revere. The honor system is enough to insure they’ll always do the right things.

    8. Public education is just a cleaned up term for “indoctrination”. Private schools or home schooling is so much better.

    9. Our presumptive nominee knows a lot about jobs. He killed off tens of thousands of ‘em.

    10. Social Security is for sissies. Our presumption nominee earns over $20 million a year just in interest. You should do the same.

I think the republican position is somewhat simpler than all that:

    1) Poor people are evil and should be punished; rich people are good and should be rewarded.

I love it when left-wing ninnies think it's their job to "define" Republicans. And now, Libharter will define Democrats.

The Republican positions have been defined by the Republican candidates and the right-wing ninnies. It's their own words that established their positions, as absurd as they are.

You sound like a typical lying liberal who can't recognize the truth. Kinda sad.

Great hasty generalizations, Greco. You deserve an "A" for assumptive.

I was thinking an "A" too - but for something else.

And nothing posted has any truth of it. Typical lib. You would be a great addition to work for the Obama administration.

    The liberal agenda.
To convince the public they are helpless human beings who need a government to take from those who produce to give to those who don't as a means of survival. The eventual end product should Obuma win the election --> http://www.thehungergames.co.uk/

You guys should spread this message more. It's vastly more compelling. Plus, us liberals agree with it. Sure, I know, you don't really think we do, nor do we think you actually mean it ... but wouldn't it be great if it turned out we all have the same goals and we're just arguing over the details?

No. It's the right-wingers that support capitalism, a system that takes from the workers and producers and gives to people who have invested nothing but capital, which is imaginary at this point anyway.

I think it is details and the fact one group wants to claim credit over another.

Its jut that the gop believes in capitalism and democracy and the left believes in socialism and communism.

I think there's truth to this.

The republicans do believe in capitalism more than democrats do. Democrats don't really believe in socialism or communism, but they would balance capitalism with socialism.

The real difference between republicans and democrats, I think, actually just comes down to the balance of representative democracy. Republicans believe in the representative part, and democrats believe in the democracy part. Both have their practical points, I'll admit.

Republicans also believe in giving people an idea of how to make it on their own, where democrats believe in giving people everything so they don't have to make it on their own.

I would disagree, but I like that we've achieved a civil tone in here for the moment and I'm gonna leave it where it is. :)

That is definitely the way many of them on the Right tend to talk.

Based on the past year or so, I think that the Republican Position is closer to:

    1) Get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)!!!
    2) Anything that benefits more than one person who is not in the top 10% is a communist.
    3) God has told us that we need another war.
    4) Blacks, Hispanics and gays? Oh My!
    5) Take America Back... to the 19th century.

Let's all become republicans and go to Las Vegas and "shoot the works". If we win....we'll be considered "true workers". If we lose, we'll just ask for bailouts, and we'll just do it again! WIN WIN!!!

That's cute. Where'd you find that? Rules for Radicals? The Communist Manifesto? Mein Kampf?

I'm guessing Hollywood. It's so ridiculously detached from reality that it could not have been any less factually accurate if you included leprechauns, wizards, and flying unicorns.

This is what makes you guys the bad guys. The fact that you cannot distinguish fact from fantasy. Every argument you throw at us is a straw man. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
