CREW Report – Ron Paul Wins Something! Most Amount of Family Members Sucking Money through his Office

    March 23, 2012 - By inyourfaceradio

CREW, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, calls it the Family Affair report and one can only wish one was related to the Ron Paul family. Paul talks a good game about cutting spending, being fiscally responsible, when in fact RP came out the winner of most family members paid $$$ by his office, campaign committee or PAC. The list includes his daughter, daughter’s mother-in-law, brother, grandson, granddaughter another granddaughter and a grandson-in-law. 7 – count em -7 family members on the dole!

That is a biased source with a radical agenda that offers absolutely no proof for its wild, unsubstantiated claims.

the fact is ron paul had more family member on the take than any other congressman, no matter what the source is

First of all, Paul isn't the only member to have family members on the camaign payroll.

Second, the amount of 300,000 divided between 6 members working full time is hardly excessive and there is no proof that they were not aptly qualified for the job. All of them were paid quite reasonable with no one making more than $60,000 dollars from any single campaign. For a full time job.

Another relevant fact that Paul has a large extended family with over 100 family members being eligible for appointment yet he hired only 6 of them.

Paul may have the most family members on the payroll but let's take a look at some of the others:
    • Rep. Alcee Hastings, (D-FL) paid his girlfriend $622,574.
    • Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA) paid his wife $512,293.
    • Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) paid her daughter and grandson a combined $495,650.
    • Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) paid six different relatives a combined $304,599.
    • Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA) paid his wife $238,438.

The fact remains that here is no evidence that Ron Paul has used his office for personal gain.

except that he's put more of his family members on the payroll than any other congressman

isn't it funny how he keeps running even though he hasn't even won one state primary, i guess he likes being able to keep raising more donations

how many $millions is he worth now?

As you can see from the response to your reasonable response is that there is no reasoning with the person responding to you. That's why I stopped responding to him, and the others.

Thanks for this comment though. It clearly shows that Paul paid the members of his family a reasonable salary for their work, while other members of congress pay their family (and girlfriend) ridiculous amounts of money for work.

the part that's unreasonable is that family members are on the take, not the degree to which they're are on the take

It begs the question is Paul getting kickbacks from his relatives? Considering Paul's record, I wouldn't doubt it. He's a typical politician, not the saint his followers paint him as being.

Yeah, that must be why he runs such an extravagant campaign-because of all the kickbacks. I see he has his house up for sale for over 300K. Ya think Romney and Santorum are envious of his riches?

Who knows why Paul does most of what he does. He accepts support from racists, manages a racist newsletter, and lies about his position on earmarks and term limits. I wouldn't put it past him to take kick backs from his relatives.

Even his worst critics don't call him corrupt but there's no arguing with someone who's got the Romney goggles on. Romney is the used car salesman who would say or do anything to make the deal. Are you going to trust a guy like that to be the President. Lets fnd out first who the real romney is before we go and vote for him.

Yeah I know. The crux of there arguments usually is, if you don't agree with me you are a fool. possibly because they knoe they have the facts against them.

Yeah keep believing that, Ron's message of economic freedom and peace will keep on rising.

Neither Obama or that corrupt Romney will save the nation.

Look how the country is now under Obama, yeah hes a failure.

Please name ONE bill worth bragging about that he didn't vote on?

Because by all accounts, RP won't vote on BULLCRAP bills. ever. which makes him a stand up guy to me.

Paul Sponsored over 700 bills relating to his important issues. NONE were passed into law.,,,,,,,,,,,,,ZERO! 700 is more than most Congressmen. None passed is worse than most Congressmen.

    His bills failed.

Not how he voted on others bills.

Ineffective,,,all talk is all that I have against Paul.

Different philosophies, but that's what we have now, obama, all talk, ineffective. What little he has done was bad.

Paul at least has only been ineffective.

On the national scene, Ron Paul is political dogmeat.

It helps us sort the type of people who are simply willing to vote for the same bull(*)(*)(*)(*) time and time again. So on the National scene he is doing quite well considering the fact he is in an uphill battle against the Media itself and ignorant. When I speak about the ignorant it's typically people who spend their time watching the TV for all of their answers and spend twenty minutes to vote. If they're in a caucus State they (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and moan at the fact Ron Paul is winning delegates because they're too stupid and lazy to go out. Overall it's a victory for Ron Paul and his supporters on the Local, State and National level... Hell even the International level when it changes the minds across the World. Ron Paul has made waves and just by the sheer fact you feel the need to make comments such as the one I quoted goes to show you're nervous.

Why do you not want Paul in office? Aren't you supposed to be some sort of "libertarian"?
