It wasn't 10 PM.. it was 7:17 PM.. The first two police officers arrived on the scene at 7:25 and Trayvon was dead, face down on the grass between two houses.. 70 feet from where he was staying with both arms fully underneath him.

Zimmerman was part of a neighborhood watch association. There's a key word you're missing. It's "watch", not confront, detain, question or challenge. It's just watch and report. If Zimmerman had performed that function an innocent kid wouldn't have been shot to death. Zimmerman exceeded the intent of the association, and that resulted in a death.

That will be kind of challenging for his attorneys to explain away to a jury.

According to two forensic experts, specializing on voice recognition, Zimmerman was not the one screaming on the tape, which makes him a liar, since he claimed it was him.

I have to say this though. carrying a gun, at night in a crime watch capacity is foolish. Zimm was not a Law enforcement profesional. However what he did was legal. The conceal carry law is not to blame, it goes beyond the 2nd Ammendment in the sense that you at least have to take a firearm safety class and test to carry a weapon. The Conceal carry law recognises that criminals often wont get a permit to carry. Thus leveling the playing field. When the common man can carry weapons in this capacity anything can happen. Leave it to Law enforcement

Your post is missing a critical ingredient: it has to assert that Zimmerman not only 'confronted' Martin, but also initiated a physical assault.

I not only do not think you cannot establish both of those two factors as true; I do not think you can establish either one.

Which means that all that remains is Zimmerman's version of events, and eyewitness testimony.

    All of which support Zimmerman.

I believe I have the version of events exactly correct.

If you cannot carry a concealed weapon in an instance like this, there literally is no other valid situation.

It isn't stupid to carry a weapon at all. In fact, if Zimmerman's version of events is correct, it likely prevented him from being a vegetable.

To carry a gun as a Neighborhood Watch Captain.. the HOA should have bonded him.. because ALL the police community coordinators teach them .. Watch and Call 911.. don't act on your own.

    Vigilantes are a liability.......

Zimmerman should have been charged and convicted of manslaughter.

I have a CCW, I know guns, I know how I am required to behave with it.

Consider the string of events: Zimmerman is doing neighborhood watch one dark and rainy night, he sees a subject walking down the street, he calls the police, the police are on the way and the dispatcher tells Zimmerman not to approach the subject. Zimmerman, for some reason, does confront the subject.

Now, if you were confronted out of the darkness one lonely, rainy night in a threatening manner, what would be your inclination?

Martin went into defensive mode against perceived threat. Being young and in good shape compared to Zimmerman, he quickly was beating the crap out of his attacker. Zimmerman shoots him.

Zimmerman was ordered by the police NOT to confront Martin - he did anyway. Zimmerman created the situation against all reason. That CCW permit did not permit him any special privileges or police powers. He made a huge mistake and Martin paid for it. Zimmerman got away with murder.

Oh, and I'm a white guy.
