The Peach did a great job with that video. That video was a response to HeyRuka a Youtuber who caused a stir among the Atheist Youtube community when she started talking about race and intelligence. The Peach made her look foolish in her video.

Racialists like to claim that opposition to "Race-Realism" is akin to Creationism.

But I've always found that racists think a lot like Creationists. They have an ideological agenda and misuse science to promote their racial myths about human differences that they feel have implications for race-relations.

 

This whole race realism thing seems a pretty limited ideology. It really is a rather outdated idea.

 

What I find particularly distasteful about racialism is the intellectual dishonesty of its proponents.

They frame the debate over their position as Science vs. Political Correctness.

The reality is that their view is fringe among academics qualified to speak on the fields relevant to discussion (Genetics, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology etc.) and most academic opponents of the position view the debate as Science vs. Pseudoscience. They could come off as more credible if they acknowledged their position as a theory among competing theories over the nature of human differences but they want to portray all of their opponents as being political ideologues with unrealistic views about human nature.

The irony is that it doesn't take much investigation to uncover the fact that most proponents of racialism have an ideological agenda themselves. On the internet most of the laymen supporters of "race-realism" are White Nationalists or believe in some sort of racist ideology be it racial separatism, racial supremacy or any combination of such views that can be generalized as being racist. The common view of these people is that races are different in socially important ways that makes a racially diverse society undesirable.

Since racism is widely seen as morally repugnant proponents of racialism try to pretend that they are not racist. So they avoid the use of racial slurs and vehemently deny that they are racist or get upset when they are called racists. HeyRuka the Youtuber actually made a whole video to complain about being called a racist. She did this shortly after I told her that her views were obviously racist. In reaction she got angry with me and blocked me from her channel.

I think a good direction to go in this thread is to ask Truthist and any other supporters of race-realism why they feel that their position is more credible than the academic opponents of that position. As it stands I think the original post in this thread is a very inaccurate portrayal of arguments against
racialism. Defining the opposition as "liberals" is misleading and many of the arguments listed by the topic starter are strawmen. I find the responses to these listed arguments to be be rather weak and in some cases absurd.

It might help to point to a body of work or cite several sources that support your position rather than attempt to shoot down arguments you allege your opponents to believe.

By saying that you imply that every single member of a given race is 'bad'. An obviously wrong statement.

 

Take a look at the people supporting this completely idiotic proposition.

Find another thread and these same people will claim to be "blind" to race.

It's basically the position that there are mental differences between races and some races are smarter or more violent than others.

The views aren't much different from the claims racial Supremacists like the Nazis, Eugenicists and Segregationists have made over the years except these jokers often claim they aren't racist and their research is merely a pursuit for truth.

They rely heavily on the research of Psychologists who study IQ differences between races, some of whom try to apply evolutionary science to their
theories about mental differences between races. Take a look at the video above to see one of the major academic debates on the topic.
