I think when we get to the point that we let mothers stay home and not work, we go back to having generation after generation of welfare people. We need to help people to help themselves. To move up and away from welfare. Allow them a chance to learn a trade, while giving them help with child care, a roof over their head, food, transportation and etc. When you give them everything they need without having to work for any of it, there is no incentive to better yourself, just like the girl in that video pointed out. Liberals need to understand that. That isn't the American way, never was.

On the subject of welfare what makes you smarter and more knowledgable than the rest of us?

A lot of people other than bleeding heart liberals come in contact with people on welfare.

It's actually a step toward complying the the Universal Declaration of Human Rights treaty that we signed. It's the law of the land.

    Article 25.

    (1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.
    (2) Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.

This is all predicated on a bull (*)(*)(*)(*) theory that the poor need protecting in the first place. As if the poor have anything anyone wants to exploit them for in the first place! LMAO

They have no money of their own, no marketable skills, no education! There is NOTHING to exploit!

some times a bleed heart does more harm than good

that photo attachment ... I lived in many places like that - almost looks like the area around the First Ward projects in 1970's Buffalo NY over near where the wax factory and envelope factory were almost looks like 6th and Sam Pedro in L.A.
also the south side of Dallas have spots like that ... lets not forget Cleveland, or Tulsa, or MANY other places ... Actually - that does look like the area near the stadium in Detroit near the cab garage

yeah ... sweet dream! and people get tired of that social drainage.

Here is the problem - those who lack drive, motivation, or an interest in doing for themselves will gladly sit there and ride your handouts into the ground ... and that is simply wrong. Even the Bible speaks against sloth and that people who do not work should not eat.

But socialist churches don't bother to teach that set of facts! Do they?

I have a ninth grade schooling and just got rid of my 1974 Corvette Saturday ... if I can do it - why can't they?
