Hold the phone here. I hadn't heard about a flashlight. One big enough to do the injuries we know trigger boy had would have to have been large enough that Martin would have considered him likely to use it as a weapon against him, which would justify Martin's shoving it up his nose if he approached him in a threatening manner.

They both lied because Z had to declare his financial status for the bond hearing.

Remember when GZ apologised in court.. saying he didn't know that Trayvon was a teen..

Now this monkey busines with the money and the passport????

Plus the inconsistencies in his statments to police.

And MOSt amazing to me that he spends three days talking to the police without a lawyer.

No. Trigger boy had known personality disorders and was taking psychotropic drugs AT THAT TIME. Big difference.

It wasn't a big flashlight but it belonged to Z and his blood was on it. When they were marking evidence they noticed there was blood on it so they swabbed for the lab. It obviously caused at least one of Z's injuries on his head which counters his claim of concrete diving.

That and the fact that he is on psychiatric meds tells me his judgement sucks and that he had no probable cause to think that Martin was a threat and that he probably did not give due consideration to how much his own conduct resembled that of a gang banger of whom Martin should have been scared enough to justify killing the lying little lunatic.

I made two threads a few days apart after the bail hearing to highlight his lie about saying he thought T was just a "little bit younger" and that he lied about the money and Z supporters simply denied he was dishonest.

Those hurt his credibility but what I think hurt his self defense claim the most was saying he didn't know if T was armed or not. If he was truly being beaten and in fear of his life it would matter if he thought T was armed or not.

    That's my assessment as well.

Here's the flashlight. GZ sure was prepared.

I thought the phone was on his waistband and he was using an earpiece thing.

Less than ten inches, judging by the width of the blades of grass. Still, if you stick it in somebody's face in an intimidating manner, it would look something like an an anti-aircraft search light. We know that the punk had it out when he confronted Martin. Per the ear witness on the phone, trigger boy did everything that could possibly suggest to Martin that he was, at best, about to get his ass kicked by a banger.

    Bye-bye SYG defense.

He was using the earpiece but holding the phone under his clothes out of the rain. He had the tea in his center pocket so he wasn't carrying it and strangely, it didn't fall out when they were wrestling. I wonder if Z felt it on him while they were rolling around and thought it was a weapon?

Okay, the prosecution cannot call the bimbo if she does not want to testify, but she can also not testify as to what a darling her piece of crap hubby is. Fact is, there is nobody left who can testify to the fact that trigger boy is not the drooling sociopath that his enemies claim he is.

I've heard the US jury system attacked by a German and compared to what OJ would have had there, which would have been a panel of judges (for details, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jury#Germany )

I think that's a far better system. I don't trust the average Joe to come up with a fair verdict. Judges are educated, trained, sensible and demonstrably so.

Margot pointed out they have the recordings so that will probably be sufficient. Showing they conspired to lie in court over money show they cannot be trusted to be honest about an innocent human life.

It's a tough spot. Random jurors help show impartiality but that system shows a much stronger knowledge base.

Seems that he got the 2nd passport a few weeks after he killed Trayvon and didn't declare it.

That says to me he was planning to flee the country and if that is true, he must have been planning that because he knew he had done wrong.

Of course Shelly can now be arrested for obstruction of justice and held in lieu of cash bail. Bond is obviously not an option any more for either of the scum bags.

That could very well be, Makedde!

Then again, if I had the New Black Panther Party putting up "Wanted For Murder" posters of me, and offering a $10,000 reward for me... let's just say I'd keep my options open.

I seen this posted a few times before so I looked it up. Its seems this vicious group known as the new Black Panther Party is poised to wreck havoc on all good law abiding citizens as their numbers swell to four. Its possible there numbers might balloon to five, then they would have an army. Time to get a gun and defend myself against this menace, need to keep my options open.

This is not a perjury trial, this is a murder trial. Not only is that evidence inadmissable as irrelevant to this case, even if it were admissable, it is still speculative. You might as well try to say that Zimmerman had probable cause to kill Trayvon because you found out that George didn't like Skittles.

True that. I wonder why he did that? Was he complicit in the media blitz that followed? Was he coached by the national democrat party into getting ready to flee to a country that has agreed to harbor him?
