Agreed, it probably won't be in Zimmerman's best interest not to testify, unless the defense manages to so completely demolish the prosecution's case that O'Mara feels there is no need for Zimmerman to testify.

Go back to the Casey Anthony trial - she never took the stand in her defense, and Jose Baez managed to present an effective defense without her testimony.

That's the beauty of our system of law - the defendant doesn't have to testify in support of his/her innocence, the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove the defendant guilty.
