Did you know that if a military member rapes or sexually assaults a fellow service member, he has an 86.5% chance of keeping that crime a secret and a 92% chance of avoiding a court marshal?

19,000 of these incidents occur yearly, according to our Secretary of Defense. For those who think the military and its service members act in an honorable way and are above reproach, what do you have to say?

If a rape or sexual assault is kept a secret, then how would anyone know that you have X probability of keeping it a secret??? Where are these statistics even coming from?

And let's look at this on a comparative basis, shall we?

Assuming Panetta's figure is accurate, that would yield a population proportion of 1.3% (19,000/1.4 million) as opposed to an estimated 25% in colleges!

But I have to agree that universities have become too "liberal", even if conservatives generally demand that everyone who wants to have an engineering/medical position, have a degree from said liberal universities. Even more strange..

Many "army people" are (*)(*)(*)(*)ing aggressive/violent psychos. I do not see how anyone that I've ever gone to college with would ever rape anyone. They wouldn't. If rapes happen "at" universities, what's happening is people off the streets are raping hot college girls. NO ONE I've ever shared a dorm with or even known from college would ever rape anyone. Socially conservative nerdy school boys don't rape people.

These "conservative" business owners of companies that hire engineers etc. always demand that you have a college degree at X "liberal" university.

Yup. People at college that are working on degrees that have above average IQ's are more violent and more likely to RAPE people than infantry guys with average/below average IQ's that are looking for a government job (e.g. the military). That makes sense.

That estimate is absurd. What was it based on? I've actually known guys that have raped people and they tend to be the ones that got some labor job after years of being in prison. Military people like police guys tend to be (*)(*)(*)(*)ing dicks also so I don't buy this whole thing. Period.

The military and colleges have a thing or two in common, including being full of immature horny young people and featuring some degree of isolation from greater society. They form their own cultures shaped in part by hormones.

The only difference being that women in college are much more likely to get raped. Of course, that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has ever attended a frat party.
