Yeah, Pelosi is as delusion as the rest of them who use Congressional hearings to be forewarned about impending economic news they turn around and call their brokers on so they can reap in the cash. Most politicians express themselves as visionaries do. The key is deciding which 'vision' one shall support/adopt. With ALL politicians being 'human', I don't expect perfection.

As in every nation or society, politics are partly about the "show"; I hate that as much as anyone... but it seems to come with human nature.

The proof is in the actual effects of the policies put forth.

 

Conservatives do champion a color-blind society, they envision an America where minorities and african americans are shipped out of the county, and I can literally provide links of conservatives on these very forums arguing JUST that.

It's a bunch of nonsense. Conservatives are obsessed with race, they love talking about how Obama is from Kenya, how he's black, and how he's not black, ect ect. They love distributing racist emails regarding the white house and watermelons and depicting Obama as an ape. Other conservatives were criticized for calling Michelle Obama a gorilla and others refused to apologize after being caught distributing t-shirts depicting Obama as a monkey.

Ever see some videos of the Palin/McCain hate rallies? Conservatives would chant "never vote black", bring stuffed Monkey=Obama toys, and sing along to KKKesque mottos.

It's vile, evil, demented stuff.

Of course. Many camped-out amongst the ranks of Conservatism, are terribly racist. They have fooled themselves into thinking that their dog-whistle racism, is both mild and subtle... when in reality, their disgusting bigotry is deeply embedded in their attitudes, rhetoric and policies. They are the only one fooling themselves into believing that isn't the case. They lie to themselves and expect others to play along. I'm totally averse to the BS at this point.

And the way they TREAT and TALK ABOUT this President, reveals something more than the usual political or ideological disagreements Americans have known before. There is some evil hatred blooming from the Right these days; and yes, they've made themselves NUMB to it. It is reprehensible CRAP!!

They either forget or ignore that MANY REASONABLE AND NORMAL PEOPLE can think for themselves and see reality, quite readily.

Sadly, many on the Right see that as acceptable 'fuel' to motivate their base. Put GREED on top of that, and you have a very simple but effective formula for generating strife and decay within ANY society.

If people ever REJECT that same "stuff" OUTRIGHT... America would improve EXPONENTIALLY in very short order. That BS has held modern AMERICA down/behind for 50+ years.

I'll create a thread with an utter avalanche of demented and revolting examples of conservative racism that will do a wonderful job in retying the knotted bond that conservatives and racism go hand in hand. We're talking emails, pictures, videos, quotes, the whole shebang. Dozens upon dozens upon dozens of examples. I'll have to pace myself though, as there would be a ton of vile conservative filth to sift through.

This kind of thing is ingrained into them at a young age. Conservative racism is passed onto their gullible and naive children, who they also tell not to go to college and expand their minds. Unfortunately they grow up being as ignorant, xenophobic, anti-social, and clueless as their parents. Conservatives speak of indoctrination at college, but really the opposite happens, your knowledge is being expanded by different people, peers, scholars, and professors. At home, on the other hand, when they're stuck with just racist mommy and daddy, is where the indoctrination happens, and they quickly take on their characteristics.

I guess maybe I'm not understanding the question. Should we be very careful about HOW we get there regardless of how much HARM it does to the country? Does LeBron James have to be a great 3-point shooter in order for the Miami Heat to be World Champions, or should we DQ Miami because LeBron can't shoot 3s?
