Like I said, racist: "The idea of chosenness has traditionally been interpreted by Jews in two ways: one way is that God chose the Israelites".

Religious Apartheid, separate-but-equal (which is not ever equal) not surprisingly like Israel is today, substitute "whites/blacks" for "Jews/non-Jews", and you get the picture: "Crucial to the Jewish notion of chosenness is that it creates obligations exclusive to Jews, while non-Jews receive from God other covenants and other responsibilities."

"God" wouldn't have chosen one "tribe" or race if he was not biggoted. Modern Secular Humanism is much more beneficial to the world than religions (and much fairer too) because for one thing it's completely not race/ethnically based. Much better!

The horrific KKK is not surprisingly a Christian/religious group, just see their web site.

Awesome job of totally ignoring what was written.

And at this point, I simply acknowledge that you're willing to ignore anything that contradicts your prejudices.
Your "separate-but-equal" analogy fails because anyone can become a Jew, and there are no penalties for not being a Jew.

But if I choose not to become a Jew then I'm not equal.

If I don't follow Jewish principles I'd bet they teach that I suffer more, or are rewarded less, in the afterlife.

    From http://www.askmoses.com/en/article/239,164/Does-Judaism-believe-in-Heaven-and-Hell.html
Judaism does have a concept of reward and punishment in the afterlife. However, since words we use bring to mind certain images, particularly “Heaven” and “Hell,” it is better to use the Jewish terminology which comes without the baggage.

When someone dies, the disembodied soul leaves this sensory world and enters “Gan Eden,” the spiritual Garden of Eden (a.k.a. “Heaven”). In the Garden of Eden, the soul enjoys the “rays of the Divine Presence,” a purely spiritual enjoyment dependent on the Torah learning and good deeds done while in a body. Every year on the yahrtzeit, the day of passing, the soul ascends to another level closer to G-d. This gives it tremendous pleasure.

In order to restore the level of purity the soul had possessed before entering the physical world, it must undergo a degree of refinement commensurate to the degree which the body may have indulged itself

Before entering the Garden of Eden, though, a soul must be in a state of spiritual excellence, for it cannot enjoy the Divine Presence to the fullest degree with the pleasures and coarseness of our physical world still engraved on it. These would give the soul poor “reception” of divine radiance, and must be removed.

If a person sinned in this lifetime, as most of us do, then, to continue the radio analogy, we have serious interference. In order to restore the level of purity the soul had possessed before entering the physical world, it must undergo a degree of refinement commensurate to the degree which the body may have indulged itself. This means there is quite a bit of cleaning to be done. This cleaning process hurts, but is a spiritual and mental process designed not for retribution, but to allow one to truly enjoy his/her reward in Gan Eden.

This cleaning process is called “Gehinom,” or, in the vernacular, “Hell.”

    Incorrect.
Can you point the area where is says a non-Jew undergoes worse treatment than a Jew?
I can't seem to find it.

For someone so determined to discredit Judaism, you don't seem to be very familiar with it.

Not following the principles of Judaism, such as the principles of modern Secular Humanism, and I'm judged more harshly in the afterlife.

    Again, incorrect.

In order to get back to the topic of this thread, can we forgo your witch-hunt, and get back to my original post?
Do you have any relevant comments on it?

Cannibalism and infanticide are common and natural in the animal world, should we make those legal too? What about hierarchy in the animal realm, maybe we should be ruled by kings and queens and not by an elected official.

If it wasn't for your ancient religious texts you wouldn't hate gays, I bet (if that's wrong, then please let me know).

A person looking at gays RATIONALLY, such as a modern Secular Humanist (they are more moral and more rational than religious people) would say "heck, gays reproduce at generally a lower rate, and the world population explosion is becoming a real concern, so if anything I think they are slightly BETTER for our world, and I certainly won't discriminate against them, and believing in an ancient book that says to kill them is highly immoral".

God created all people equal and then he gave us free choice. I have heard all the arguments but people do make choices and they have to live with the consequences biut for certain God did not do it.

Atheists on this forum despise Stalin, as they feel he was immoral. So can you agree with us that anybody who instructs people to kill gays is immoral? We await your reply.

We all sin. Does that mean God created people to sin? No.

Some sins we all commit, such as lying. Other sins we seem to have special weaknesses for.

    Jesus' book: kill 'em!
    Dawkins' book: love 'em.

Oh dear when someone state that 1500 animal species do homosexuality? And the author says this is common when the are somewghere between 3 million and thirty million species one finds one self quite willing to doubt the rest of his scholarship on the subject. One suspect that what he calls sex most reputable scientists with no axe to grind would call grooming.

    Nope.

That is not the point of the thread. I hear in every gay marriage debate "homosexuality isn't natural blah blah blah duh *slober drips down lip*. Then information like that in the OP is posted, and it is conveniently ignored. Homosexuality is normal, don't move the goal posts to comparing homosexuality to violent acts in a poor and sad attempt to feel a small sense of victory on the subject.

Normal and healthy aren't the same thing, in the animal kingdom it serves no evolutionary purpose. There's absolutely no benefit to being gay, it's a hindrance.

    Yet it still exists.

    Explain that.

What's your point? Some people are born with an inclination to drug or gambling addiction, that doesn't mean it's a healthy trait just because "it exists". I don't see any benefit to homosexual behavior, and I'm not convinced that it isn't "curable" either - especially since many people who identify as "gay" are or were actually bisexual at one point or another.

Are you gay/bi? I'd assumed not based on your earlier statements however your fixation with the subject makes me wonder.

It exists, and is prevalent. So I would assume that it would be a bit premature to declare it as having no purpose.

Nope. I am guilty of an addiction to petite brunette women.

Books are just books. Condemnation is reserved by logical men for the actions of other men. It is like blaming the physical location of Guantanamo for the actions of humans inside. Removing the base would do nothing, as would burning the Bible. Should we burn 'Huckleberry Finn' for the use of the word (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)? To blame inanimate objects is a waste of time. To burn Mein Kampf to be ant-Nazi is to be the new Nazi.
