In reality only 3 did, and two of those aren't in business anymore... The funny thing is that, we, the French Canadian have an advantage over the English Canadian, most of us are in fact bilingual. We have to be since we live in north america and we love to travel. So we get our news from all over the country, while the Anglo get theirs from outlet like CTV (Fox-lite) which like to bash on French canadian. In Quebec welfare is $534 a month for a single adult. The cost of a rent in Montreal (cheapest in the province) is around $500/month. And you have to prove that you are actively looking for a job or are disable or they cut you off. Hell, they cut you off after a few month and fill an application all over again anyway. You are working with some very old idea of what our welfare system is...

Well said. The American welfare system is much more comprehensive than what is here in BC. How a disabled person lives off of $670 a month in the Fraser Vally (Vancouver area for those who do not know) when rent and the cost of living is so high is beyond me. And you have to constantly file papers or get kicked off.
