If it were only 2 million, don't tell me 6 million. That is all I am saying. Once "facts" become suspect, a whole story is subject to scrutiny.

I think the Holocaust did happen. I also think it has become a business and the worse it is made to sound the more profit there is in it.

From everything I have seen and read, the showers were showers to eliminate lice.

 

I looked and couldn't find it.. I will try to find a reference to them on my own.

 

That's the only camp I saw. I saw no reason to see others. Dachau was a small camp so I really don't know the layouts of others/

 

A highly lethal gas doesn't require an airtight gas chamber. Depending on the gas used, you can kill people with a relatively low concentration of poison in the air that would still function in a room with air flow.

 

If you're trying to build something quickly, it won't necessarily meet all specifications. America has some of the best engineers in the world too, but look at the quality of homes built in the last 10 to 20 years.

It's all a matter of where talent is directed. When the Nazies were designing concentration camps, they weren't exactly made with the intent of being engineering marvels. They were put up relatively quickly and in a very utilitarian way.

And again, a room doesn't have to be airtight to kill a bunch of people with something like mustard gas.

 

See I think this argument has some merit. Nice to see someone come to the table with something other than emotional histrionics.

 

I don't think there is any question that the Holocaust was real.. the logistics of it are simply too much for us to comprehend.

I don't disagree. I still think you design it to protect your own troops and workers, however.

 

It was really a miracle there were so many survivors from the Nazi death camps. Just look at Anne Frank, a young girl, not the strongest worker, yet the Nazis somehow bypassed her killing some 20,000 people a day instead of her for over a year. Then they took the time and effort to move her and others to another camp ( instead of using the trains to move war supplies). She ended up dying of typhus.

Couldn't the soldiers just wear respirators?

I don't know the specific gases they used, but if something like mustard gas was used, it's heavier than air. So, as long as most of the leak was near the bottom of the door, then a guard with a respirator could conceivably man the door without problems (also assuming that he's wearing the right clothing to protect his skin).
