I guess you have a point about how difficult it is to tell the homosexuals from the normal people.

But when you catch them having sex with a boy that removes all doubt.

Well, that goes along with the original idea. Any homosexual who molests a child is the same as any heterosexual who molests a child. You can understand, at least, the guy's viewpoint when he says they should be killed, can't you?

I don't care either way, I'm just surprised that some argued that a homosexual pedophile was any different than a heterosexual pedophile.

No one argued that. What we argued is that banning ALL homosexuals and not banning ANY heterosexuals (women, for example) does not have the effect of preventing molestation in Scouts.

 

I still don't see any posts that say any such people should be banned. Though I skimmed over briefly.

Even if so, it must be understood. Boy scout leaders are all male, aren't they? Aren't there multiple leaders? If they have a problem with sharing a tent or cabin, that must be understood.

No, they aren't. In fact, at the Cub Scout level, a large percentage are female. The most recent numbers I have say that over a third of all Scouting adult volunteers are female.

Current Scouting rules prohibit a leader from sharing a sleeping room or tent with any Scout other than his/her own child. There is also a policy called "Two-deep Leadership," which requires that, at all times, Scout functions must have two adults present, one of whom must be a trained leader. There are several other policies in place to ensure that a Scout leader is never alone with a child other than his/her own son.

 

But they're not homosexuals. They're heteros. Science has proven that the greater majority of pedophiles are heterosexual.

 

And beyond cub level? At the boy scout level?

I meant if two male chaperones had a problem being together, that must be understandable, right?

And if the other male is a homosexual, it is surely uncomfortable for some. I mean put a man and a woman together who barely know each other and tell them to share a room, it's a little awkward.
