Did she actually VOTE for a republican?
Was she going to vote for a republican the second time?

The allegations were for the party affiliation, not the actual ballot.

Its so fascinating how these practices are such common knowledge, yet the Right Wing police and prosecutors in the USA are SOOO lazy they can't bother to arrest anyone except a couple Republican fraudsters.

you might not be aware of this, but IDs have the current address right on the front. how many people can vote outside of their precinct?

Well if she moved to another precinct whats to stop her from keeping the old license?

Your next argument would be...how often do people keep their old license in order to cheat the ID law?

And I'll say EXACTLY! Almost never. Just like voter impersonation fraud, almost never. Which means voter ID laws are just a way for cons to disenfranchise certain people. Since you're very worried about electoral cheating I would think you would be very offended by this.

you've never had an ID, have you? there's an experation date on them and when you change addresses, the correction is a label.

What she did was wrong but what agenda are you pushing when you bring this to the forum?

If I hadn't, people like you would be intent on making sure I couldn't vote in my own country.
A person intent on cheating would lie and say they lost their ID

The only agenda is to show everyone that no matter how loudly the righties want to claim moral superiority over everyone else, in the end they are cheats and liars. One just has to look at the birther movement to see overwhelming proof of this.

You have a bad view of the right, your pointing to extremes to smear everyone with their foolishness.

This stuff always cracks me up. ONE PERSON out of tens of milli0ns.
Fact is, it comes from both sides.
Its no different than when a sex scandal comes up, from either side, then the opposing party supporters start screaming, see, see, they are bad people, and then a few days later another sex scandal comes to light from a member of the other party, repubs and dems, they all do it.

Where is the proof she voted earlier? How do we know that some Dem operative didn't sign her name and vote earlier?

Now if we had voter ID, we would know for sure. But without it, she can claim she never voted earlier and who can prove otherwise?

I see people claim that ID would not have prevented this. However, if someone else at the first polling station claimed that they were her and voted, then YES, ID would have prevented this. Not saying that is what happened, but it is a possibility.

We've had this conversation countless times on this forum and not one time has anyone produced any evidence that impersonation fraud is any problem in this country at all.

Why don't you give it a try, if you know so much it should be easy for you. You can start here

In this case, I think this woman is just mentally kind of addled. Some people really are that dumb. And that's where most of this type of "vote fraud" comes from, stupid people who don't understand they can't vote twice, or that a felon or illegal alien can't vote.

I'm not saying that's what happened either but, yes, it certainly is a possibility.

And how, pray tell, would you prove or disprove impersonation fraud without voter ID?

It doesn't matter if it is a problem or not. What is a problem is that it CAN happen. If we wait until it becomes a problem then we will be too late.

I really do not understand why the objection to showing an ID to register to vote and for voting. A person usually needs ID to cash a check. A person usually needs ID for a job. A person usually needs ID for a number of day-to-day functions. In most states, people can get inexpensive ID at their local DMV. If the cost is a concern, allow the price to be deducted from their taxes.

From the link posted by the OP...

"When confronted by officials, Rubin reportedly claimed that their database was incorrect, and that she had not yet voted. She was ultimately prevented from casting the second vote."

This is no big deal....A lot of huffing and puffington hot air.

One person voting twice isn't much of a problem, as long as the person is prosecuted and put in prison. The real problem is having five thousand more votes than there are registered voters in King County during Christine Gregoire's win in the Washington State governors race. Having 600 extra votes showing up during a recount for Al Franken's Senate win in Minnesota is also a serious problem.

The problem with Republican vote fraud is they are too much the pikers. If you are going to cheat, cheat big enough to win.
