I feel awful for the Latinos. We need a good strong class of immigrants that can succeed and contribute. Unfortunately, the U.S.A. that they are finding does not offer them the capability to achieve, but it does educate them on how to receive food stamps, welfare, entitlements, etc... IN SPANISH. The Democrat/Liberal goal is to keep them down and reliant on the government. It is a tragedy.
The problem for most latino kids is that their parents are away working most of the time instead of raising the kids to be good people. Thus, the kids receive zero social capital from their parents. Then the latino kids go to public schools where they are warehoused and processed. They pick up no skills. That's where the gangs come in. Only the gangs are there for the kids. So the boys become gangsters, and the girls become putas. They have babies of their own, and then raise the babies in the gangbanger culture. I've observed this pattern for thirty years. It's only getting worse. That means the latinos aren't ever going to move up educationally or economically as a group. There will be extraordinary individuals who succeed, but they will be relatively few in number.
That's a tragedy. What is sad is that in the past, the Latinos had a very strong family value culture. It is horrible to hear that is becoming a thing of the past.
The newer waves of latino immigration are different from older waves of latino immigration. The people coming here within the last ten years or so are very low class people even by mexican standards.
If they gave Romney the same vote they gave Bush, he would be President. So something changed, maybe they are coming around to accepting they need welfare and government assistance to survive the white man's country. The other choice is being worked hard, for cheap wages, and the latino immigrants don't want to be exploited any longer.
Why do certain countries in EU not get flack for only allowing people in that they need or putting high standards for anyone who wants to enter? Yet, the US gets lambasted for even attempting to control its immigrants and borders. I truly don't understand. Why the double standard?
