Seems to be fairly accurate. I took this back in 2006-7 I believe; still had it on my imageshack acct lol.

Go here and take the test:

For what it's worth, here's me.

No wonder I did not vote for more tax cuts for the rich or more oil drilling everywhere.

My results are usually just a little different each time I take this test, but I'm always to the right side of the center.

I think this refers more to your views on governmental power, and what government should and should not have a say in. Not necessarily what political party your views are more aligned with.

I took this test once. I was right around where you were Libertine.

But the way some of the questions are worded are left to interpretation...like:

It is regrettable that many personal fortunes are made by people who simply manipulate money and contribute nothing to their society.

You could interpret regrettable, manipulate money, contribute nothing, and their society in many different ways and come up with a different answer for each one.

Huh, thats weird. I was marked more "right" than "libertarian." I'm usually more libertarian than right on these things, but always in that square made up of the two.

I am a center left libertarian, although if I were to describe my political views, I would use the term syncretic.

I've moved from middle upper-left of the liberarian right square to the line between the right and left libertarian squares. hope you understand. a move to the left in other words, still equally liberarian though.

I don't think this works. I am a very conservative person from a very left background who hates authority totally. Can't work it at all.

Kind of Left to the center. I tend to view government as necessary and government management of society vital but am fairly open minded on social issues so seems to fit me. If this was solely on economic and security issues it would be in the authoritarian side fairly well but left and if the other side social issues I'm likely more left libertarian leaning then listed.

Indeed. If one were to believe that one's race were superior that doesn't mean that one's necessarily more authoritarian (though that tends to be the case). it does in fact not fit in the spectrum at all. Neither does the astrology question: what, am I more authoritarian because I'm not open minded about it or what? Maybe it makes me more lefty because it has something to do with economics? pff

    Economic Left/Right: -3.12
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.00

I used to score closer to Gandhi, but I'm apparently moving more toward the center on the left/right scale and deeper into libertarian territory.

My politics is state's rights. Do whatever you like. Just do it at the state level.
