It is likely you have not thought this through. What was the actual rate the well to do paid? We have had a convoluted system, put into place by lousy politicians, to reward some behaviors while punishing others. The portions of that tax code that allowed people to prevent federal theft have withered away. Now that sounds somewhat Communistic, don't you think?

This is stupid. I earn well over 100K per year. My taxes are onerous. I pay more taxes than most of you earn.

If you are not earning enough then get off your lazy ass and learn some skills.

America will always bleed its rich for welfare, where else in the world do the wealthy think they can go to avoid paying higher taxes other than Africa?

That 100k a year income can only transfer to Europe, but they are worst than the United States, they tax their citizens over 50 percent of their income to pay for their socialist utopia of universal health care, unlimited unemployment, welfare, 6 weeks mandatory vacation, etc...

So there is nowhere in the world America's rich can run to, to escape Uncle Sam taxing them to pay for my food stamp/welfare bill this month, its not practical unless the libertarians start their own state, and the government will make them pay for military protection from the communists in china and russia.

My estimation of liberal's intelligence was never very high, but somehow reading this thread has caused me to lower it.

Let them go , for as long as there is demand other people will be able to make profit providing the supply.
I was reading about that guy that created Cotsco (sp?) , son of blue collar workers took advantage of demand and became rich .

 

My other option is to stop working. I have already told one person I employ that Obama's additional taxes means he will no longer work for me beginning in January.

 

I believe the Republicans need to stand on their principles, let the Obama tax cuts expire and bring ten million moochers back onto the taxpayer rolls.

Where are all the replacements in California? Why is it we hear of businesses fleeing and no start ups replacing them if your BS theory is correct? Because it's not.

 

Those are Obama's tax rates. Bush's rates expired a year or so ago.

Raising taxes on people making over 250,000, does absolutely nothing except work the liberals favorite narrative of "the greedy rich people, should pay their fair share". That's it....it will absolutely cause the already extremely volatile economy to crash. Raising revenue by raising taxes just to allow our disgustingly anti-success government to spend the messily amount (compared to our debt) on more BS that the liberals think we can't live without, and allow more people to suck what other people have earned while doing nothing to pay THEIR fair share. Will destroy this once great country....we a finished.

I know for an absolute fact that the people our company were planning to hire, if Romney won....will not be hired. And this is exactly what will happen in every business that had planned to hire. Nice job Obama voters....you are all to blame for the next great depression....and the failure of the united states of America. I'm not rich. I just work with them everyday and they are the best people in the world. I just had a great talk with the CEO of Coca Cola yesterday. A more firendly guy you'll never meet.

The rich in this country are the best and brightest our society produces and I would rather associate with them than any reject of the middle class who lacked the education and ability to live a sustainable lifestyle without any assistance from Government.
