Killer was also speeding and had history of drunk driving and should have been locked up long ago but was let off with a fine last time and now this happens. Costas should be screaming about this but no. Is costas a drunk driver himself.? 99% of hoplophobes are.
Clearly we need to ban cars.....and highly regulate the purchase of gasoline.... ...people dont kill people....cars kill people....Bob Costas told me. . . .
What we need is stiff penalties for DUI. They deserve prison but we don't have the space for that, so let's at least make DUI a felony in all cases with license suspension for 5+ years. These are violent drug criminals and it's time we stopped coddling them.
I'm sure he will want to re-instate prohibition. Just think, we would still have him around if there were no booze. Leftists are just too stupid for our own good.
"Motor Vehicles do not enhance our safety. They exacerbate our flaws, tempt us to escalate arguments, and bait us into embracing confrontation rather than avoiding it. In the coming days, Josh Brent's actions, and their possible connection to football will be analyzed. Who knows?"
Blame anything and everything except bad choices and poor judgement. Same with Belcher the week before. Costas is an idiot, but most MaO'Bama voters are.
I think only police should be able to drive ( to keep us safe of course ) unless your name is Bloomberg of course... sarcasm
Dead is dead. I am sure the players family who died in that car wreck is grieving less because he wasnt shot!
The Jerry Jones Cowboys are a lousy team EVERY year. Haven't you noticed? And Jones will just draft two more equally as bad as they were.
I love the way the press refers to this as an "accident". He was speeding and DUI but the press would have us think it was unavoidable!!!
Perhaps we should be building new prisons. It's a win -win. You get trash off the streets, and into the punishments they deserve and at the same time you've got some shovel ready construction jobs. Not to mention the new jobs that will be created to staff and maintain the facility. I really hate seeing people get away with this kind of crap with an excuse of we dont have the space. It's a win all around. Make the space.
Or we can let the non-violent drug offenders go and free up half the space of those serving time for weed possession.
Oh I agree to that of course, however I don't believe this would actually make enough room. It's a start though.
There is at least some good news coming out of the NFL this week. The Seahawks blanked the Cardinals 58-0.
Makes sense. We need to realize that drunk drivers are super-violent drug criminals and should be treated as such. Make drunk driving a felony in all cases. That's a severe penalty in itself as it means many jobs are closed to them and they can't have a gun and in some states can't vote.
