I posted a while back that I am wanting to start my own church separate from the teachings of main stream Christianity, which I believe has been corrupted.

Part of my church is going to be a partial celebration of passover, as Christ would have celebrated it at the last supper (a Passover Seder). We will not be doing any of the ritual prayers or anything, but we will be eating only food that Christ ate, and drinking only what he drank, and at least try and do it in order that he would have done it. This will replace the traditional christian communion, which was started in remembrance of Christ breaking the bread at the last supper.

So, I want to knoow what other foods to serve, and whether there is any rules on what types of wines are supposed to be drank (which wines are ok from a traditional point of view), and what order the foods should be eaten. I assume that since it was a seder that he would have recited the story of the Passover, had the washing of the hands, and other things that are part of a seder. But I do not know which order these things should be done.

In the end, I want to have a mixture of the traditional Seder, with the drinking of the first, second and third cups of wine, the washing of the hands, the reciting of the passover story, and other things Christ would have done, and the Christian traditions of Jesus' claims that the bread and wine were his body and blood.

I would guess flat bread, olive oil and lamb.. herbs for some sort of salad, wild asparagus... Maybe dried fruit, olives, pomegranate... lentils... Maybe barley cakes and honey.

I want to honor what Christ believed. He was a Jew, so I see nothing wrong with honoring those beliefs. But also, I believe that to remember the last supper as Christ commanded, one must understand what it was, which is a passover seder. It's not pretending to be a Jew it's obeying Christ by remembering his sacrifice through communion. In simply want to take it a little farther and hold the entire meal, instead of just the breaking of the bread and the drinking of wine.

Accoridng many sources, the last supper was held shortly after the passover lamb was sacrificed. Jesus was taken and Crucified on Friday.

According to most of the Gospels, the passover feast started on thiursday at sunset and lasted until sunset on friday, which makes sense because Jewish days lasted from Sunset to Sunset. John is the only one that claims that the passover feast started at sunset friday. This makes no sense because the preperations of the passover feast carry on until after sunset, and sunset on friday is the start of the sabbath, and work, such as cooking, would have been forbidden.

The gospel of Mark even says that the crucifixion happened two days after the last supper.
    matthew 26:1-2
And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, he said unto his disciples,
Ye know that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.

Christ said, "DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME". That is why we do it.

YOU are gonna start your "own" Church but it won't be corrupted, right?

You are right. It was wrong what I said in this context. The last supper was before. Jesus was slaughtered later together with the lambs.

Nevertheless it's Christmas and not Easter.

Passover isn't around Christmas... What do you mean?

    What about the lambs?

No, it had to be taken down before sunset on friday, because that is the start of the sabbath, and taking down his body would have been considered manual labor, which was against the law. It had nothing to do with passover.

If you're serious, talk to God about it and wait for His answer.

John 19:31. That would seem to make Friday, the fourteenth of Nisan, the day of preparation. Saturday would then have been both the Sabbath and the Passover.

Jesus was crucified at the same time as the Passover lambs were slaughtered....

JOHN 13:1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

2 And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come forth from God, and was going back to God, 4 rose from supper, and laid aside his garments; and taking a towel, he girded himself about. 5 Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
