I like the upgrade generally, nice work.

One new thing that's irritating, though. On the forum pages, whatever thread the mouse is hovering on turns green. Apparently I'm a mouse-mover, because the forum pages look like a slot machine. When I scroll on a forum page, it gets even worse. Really annoying.

 

Shh. Nobody is supposed to know that.

 

The only complaint I have about the new layout is the new default font size - it is much too large. Such a large font size is not a web standard. The problem with using "CTRL -" (zoom out) is that it doesn't just affect the text, but all elements on the page, including shrinking the images. Instead, if some feel that the standard font size is too small, they can use "CTRL +" (zoom in) to increase it. It stands to reason that they would be more comfortable with the image sizes also increasing.

No, this isn't just because it's how I would like it. Rather, it conforms to standards and makes more logical sense.

Please set the default font size back to the way it was, or add a configurable option for us to set this to our liking in our user preferences.

 

It's looking good and working well- with the exception of the ' Search ' facility. Maybe it's over my head but I can't find a damm thing.

 

Nice modern format, the defualt font is large but that can be corrected on the tabs. It seems faster too. (fingers crossed)~ Rev

 

Bolded words don't jump out as much as they did with the old format.

 

I'm having a hard time finding anything to complain about. LOL

Looks great.... love having access to the members list again. The only prob with the huge font is that when I switch to another site, I can barely read it. (Fess up... that was planned, right? )

Two features I've seen that would be great here... the "Spy" feature which is kinda like the Activity List except it's live. And adding Quote Notifications anytime a post of yours is quoted. Both liven up the action... fun stuff.

One more comment and I'll drop the subject... I hope things can be worked out with Shiva. Although we've never gotten along and he's been a royal pain in my ass... I give him a lotta credit for keeping this place more civil than most forums out there. It'll be our loss if he leaves. *zips lips*

 

I agree with most of the above but particularly with the comments regarding our Shiva.

 

my two cents is that it is great, i am not accustomed to change and like old customs but feel this can provide a good transition toward progress.

 

My eyes have adjusted and it actually is not nauseating at all really.
