In Yakutia the temperature of-40C-45C is normal in this time of year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oymyakon
In the European part of Russia is still possible frost-20c-25c with plentiful snowfall.

How do average Europeans manage to afford heat and rent when a majority of their paycheck is eaten up by taxes that leave barely any disposable income at all?

Europeans deal with the effects of global warming because the government pays for their heating oil.

If the United States were to experience a deep freeze 47 percent would die out, so it is imperative we reduce our fossil fuel emissions. Nature is only going to let the other side of the world pay for our sinful burning of oil for a limited of time, before the whole world becomes effected equally.

It's not very cold here this year.

People are struggling with fuel bills. It's a major political issue but the government doesn't care. They are all Cons whose friends invest in the power companies.

The power companies which were privatised by the Cons several years ago are raking in billions in profits. It's an outrage.

But nothing will change, because who is back in government?

The Cons with a capitalist C.

Today was above freezing, but the previous week I saw temps as cold as 0*F, and that was warmer than a lot of areas in my state.
