No, that's just you lying about what I have plainly written. Justice is defined as rewards commensurate with contributions and penalties commensurate with depredations.

With, of course, the fellow having the power to define such concepts as 'rewars, contributions and penalties' not to mention 'depredatons' being the same group who has their hands out for goodies...

That's because you don't understand the concept of society.
You still have a serf mentality.

Well, in Greece's case, he might actually be right.

Granted, a lot of Greece's problems simply stem from not having realistic taxes to match their high expectations of government.

Their retirement age is/was ridiculously low, and public sector workers got insane pensions.

S&M's whole arguement ignores the concept of inherited wealth. If you have rich and successful parents and an average IQ, just how much merit do you need to develop to stay wealthy and increase in wealth? Your advanced education (paid for by your parents) means you'll get a reasonable job, your school and activity friends will allow you to network like crazy and your access to top tax accountants and tax lawyers means you can take advantage of the numerous tax loopholes in the system.

I would agree that the truly meritorious deserve their rewards, but where is S&M's evidence that they aren't getting those rewards? How about some aggregate data or representative case studies? In defending the theoretical suffering of the meritorious, S&M is quite happy to allow big breaks for the average offspring (sometimes several generations removed). Is Paris Hilton a meritorious person?

By far the most important part of that is the allowances they get to live on. Their hypocritical parents prove they know perfectly well that what they tell the rest of us to do, living in miserable poverty on part-time jobs, is unnatural and will cause permanent damage. They pay their brats a salary-allowance because they know that any normal person will drop out if not allowed to live according to the natural desires of his age group.

Indeed. In fact I'ts likely I pay the same percentage of my income in taxes as this guy does. I just don't whine about it.

So..has California really imprisoned this guy so he can't leave? I find that difficult to believe.

Try to leave China with your wealth, it carries the death penalty. Yet somehow, for every dollar of foreign investment pumped into China, it is believed that an equal amount is laundered out of the country into western banks.

Then when the time is right, they flee.

Capital Flight is impossible to stop once its started. The only way to keep ricch ppl and their money in the country, is to cater to them.

    Well, yes and no.

One of the more successful ways of encouraging investment is to tax wealthy individuals more but corporations less.

This discourages individuals from hoarding wealth and instead makes it so that they are more likely to invest more in their own businesses (or in the businesses of others).

Society has a vested interest in keeping money flowing -- one way or another.

No, that's just you makin' $#!+ up again. You just have to evade the facts that prove your beliefs are false and evil by pretending words don't mean what they plainly do mean.

Do the fatcats know that their idol, "Jersey Fats" Chris Christie is allowing this? He may look like a rhinoceros, but is he a RINO too?

We should use the military for economic defense too. A few missiles on Swiss or Caymans banks and they'll get the message to open their books. Look in the camera and say, "Swiss cheese."

Watch it! The Capitaliban will put out a Fatcat Fatwa on you. The economically correct statement is, "What's best for the 1% is best for all you little people too."

(*)(*)(*)(*) that. I refuse to live in a world where a mere grocery bagger at walmart makes the same living as a white collar professional. People with no viable skills are a drain on our economy and should be forced to move (back)to Mexico where they can lead abetter life.

I'm sick of hand wringing over people who, economically at least, are worth about as much as the gum on the bottom of my shoe.

Even a mere grocery bagger at Walmart deserves to make enough money to pay the rent and feed himself. Why would anyone be willing to work if they weren't making at least enough to pay the rent and feed themselves?

That sorta job can support one person as long as that doesn't live in a big city where the cost of living is tyrannically high.

In the midwest a minimum wage living is very possible.

Problem is the left in this country thinks that one person bagging groceries for walmart, a joke of a job, barely worth calling it such, should support a wife and 2 kids with unlimited medical care and college education for all. That is asking way way to much of a sacrifice of prosperity to ask out of most Americans.

So, do you propose all people making minimum wage live in the mid-west? How much would it cost to commute to their jobs? Would be willing to have NO grocery baggers in places where the cost of living is more than the minimum wage job?

Nobody says the job should support a wife a two kids. But it should be able to support yourself, can't we have at least that much? If you want a wife and 2 kids then get a better job.
