Ok, lets say we do. Then what? Will your life be better when the politicians get their greedy little fingers on it? Well, will it? What will you gain from some fat cat getting another 10% ripped out his account and deposited in DC? Will it make you feel better to know the government has punished someone else who's better off than you are while at the same time the folks in DC are being dashed around in limo's & more people are being forced into dependency?
Here's a news flash, the politicians in DC care far more about securing their positions and power than they do about you my friend. Reality is they will promise you anything you want to hear, but when the rubber meets the road, they won't do anything to jeopardize themselves to deliver. History proves that feeding the government beast just for the sake of feeding it isn't a wise thing to do.

I believe that in the inmost intellect, liberals know that they are wrong about the fiscal situation. But they are so afraid that they won't be taken care of (try God, duh), that they deny what they know and grasp at the straw of Father Government.

 

Don't blame the government? Are you kidding me! It's their job, their sworn duty, to serve the people, and they are the ones who should be held accountable for selling their souls to big money while letting the country go down the tubes. Hell, at least big business is honest enough to admit who they are and what they really stand for, which is heck of lot more than these pandering, dishonest, self-serving load months in DC are willing to do.

 

Nice ideology. Every government in this history of the world has been trained to serve the rich. Oaths and sworn duties don't mean anything when it comes to paychecks and rolling over so the rich can scratch your tummy. Best forget your rich people/government dichotomy. In fact, blaming the government for all your problems while protecting the elites is flat goofy.

Dems would like to raise spending by 1 trillion.

And no Republ is saying cut the budget 25% in one year.

I would take a meat ax to the federal budget if I could.

But realistically lets freeze the budget for the first year, use that as the baseline and cut it 1% every year after that.

 

Without compassion for each other we are weak.

I do not think of social safety nets as people demanding other people to support them. Anymore than I would question a parent trying to keep their child safe.

If we have no concern with trying to help each other then we are no different than reptiles.

I do not condone excessive support from the state.

But when people stop caring about each other we are all alone.

Misallocating funds is another way of describing a lack of efficency. I truely hope he was talking about how banks have misallocated funds in the private sector away from growing business, and into the banking casino known as the swaps market.

I have never heard a politican openly state this is what is wrong with our economy, as it is the truth!

 

The credit ratings of many Americans, perhaps even most, is in the (*)(*)(*)(*)ter. How else are you supposed to turn a profit when you can't loan to anyone because their credit ratings preclude it?

Individual Americans (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up their credit, and getting a loan will probably never happen again for most of those people.

This explains exactly how this could not occur if the banks money was on the line instead of investors, as they wouldn't make these loans. It also explains how the banks have profit motive to make bad loans, and the banks are the ones who created the profit motive.

 

Your BS goldman sachs thread was thoroughly debunked by a market expert who did his best to show you the error of your ways. Instead you insist on reading false propaganda.

A market analyst comes on the forum and tells you you're wrong, it might be best to rethink your positions.

Well thats a very kind heart you have little one. The only thing is the ones that need the caring most times take it for advantage. They get so used to it they end up not wanting to support themselves knowing someone else is doing it for them.

The only caring they need is to be taught that in order to survive they need to pull their own weight. Living isn't a handout...its a loyalty...and you have to earn it.
