Agreed, they share the same anti-social liberty sentiment as Muslims and Conservative Christians.

Another poster mentioned Iraq and Afghanistan banning porn, that did not work out well.

Not that i'm disagreeing with what Iceland is doing, but whatever happened to parents supervising their children while they are on line? My kids were strictly supervised as to what they were able to access up to when they were seniors in High School. It sounds like they are asking he government to help them supervise the kids.

What part part of LEGAL AGE do you have such a hard time understanding? Seriously, why is that so hard for you to under stand?

I like you twist my statement around: "Censoring a single ADULT 25 y/o from something because of children is a garbage argument and is censorship from a NANNY STATE GOVERNMENT. ' - Clearly I mean the 25 y/o watching porn, not talking lewdly to a child. You are nothing but a dishonest poster for doing this, it is that, or your mind is so wrapped that you have dancing images in your head of yourself talking lewdly children and you are just seeing how many other sickos are out there.

And no, it is NEVER OK to use censorship with someone of legal age. I get why you have to be 18+ to buy a Hustler magazine or watch porn in the web. I don't get why you want the use of Nanny States Tactics like using children an a excuse to block people OF LEGAL AGE from viewing anything.

And I will LMFAO at the thought of using "judgment" combined with the government. I don’t know who you are trying to kid pal.

So basically you fail at parenting and need the state to do it for you?

What part of it is ABSOLUTELY "OK" to censor adult behavior to protect children do you keep having trouble grasping?

If you don't like any limitations on your personal perversions....stay out of Iceland, I suppose.

It doesn't just become about being online, it is how this then filters into the mainstream, ergo, the sexualisation of minors.

Once upon a time, this would have been unacceptable for good reasons..

Who Wouldn't Get Their 7-Year-Old A Sexy Padded Bra?

Between the "sex slave" lawsuits and the declarations of the death of hipsterdom, Dov Charney and American Apparel have been generating their fair share of controversies lately. But it seems that some other clothing companies have attention-envy—Abercrombie and Fitch are swilling the cup of controversy with their latest product aimed at pre-teens: sexy padded bras and bikinis.

Parents are outraged that the company has created a line of push-up bras and bathing suits for girls as young as seven-years-old. "That’s weird. There’s no need for that...I just don’t think that there’s a reason for 7-year-old girls to be worried about having their bodies look good. They should be playing,” said Allie Ellis.

Professor Gail Dines of Wheelock College adds that the products are dangerous for young girls: “It gets young girls to think about themselves in sexual ways before that’s developmentally appropriate...It sends out really bad signals to adult men about young girls being appropriate sexual objects, objects of sexual desire for young men."

The company has since removed the "push-up" from their website, but the padded bras remain under the title "lightly lined" or "striped triangle." Abercrombie isn't the only company getting in on the sexy tween trend: U.K. discount retailer Primark has pulled a line of sexy padded bikinis for young girls from its shelves after complaints from child protection agencies.

It seems that some want the freedom to access child porn, sexualise kids, and damage them, more than to protect them.

You can see how this leads to more and more child abuse, of course.

    - - - Updated - - -

Same people who want child sex ed,and "Gay History" in our elementary schools.

How is a 25 y/o watching porn (THE ADULT VARIATY - I have to spell this out for the sickos out there who bring up child porn) on their computer HARMING a child?

He/she isn’t. Just a ploy by a Nanny State to censor behavior.

How about parents taking personal responsibility for their children, and Censor their own children's personal internet usage.

Why does the population as a whole have to suffer from the irresponsibility of others?

Porn is like alcohol, everything in moderation.

If the 25 year old can see it, so can the 10 year old, for starters. And please, spare me the bullcrap about "parental controls"; pornsites circumnavigated those contraints YEARS ago.

Iceland is a small enough nation, so that they actually probably can effectively regulate it....

I think America needs to ban guns because even though I am responsible with my firearm, my kid may go to her friends and hurt herself with one that is not as secure as mine. Think of the children!

Once again, I DO NOT LIVE in Iceland. It isn't MY grandchildren that this thread is about, but you are so desperate to pretend otherwise, because you have NO ARGUMENT for what Iceland is considering.

Could be in the other room, when something untoward is accessed, inadvertently. Who knows?
You do not have kids...and it is OBVIOUS.

Iceland is trying something that hasn't been tried before, and are a small enough nation , that they might actually be able to do it.

The Net is MOSTLY PORN, in the first place...

If you cannot get by without your hourly Porn Fix...don't go to Iceland.

MOst parents would check out the situation at someone else's home, before allowing their children there.

Of course, since you HAVE NO CHILDREN, this never occurs to you.

    When did ICELAND become AMERICA?

Could be? Next. A child could run out onto the street and get hit by a car. Is your solution to ban cars also? Could be :fart:

The Net is mostly porn?

How Much of the Internet is Actually for Porn

so 13% or 4% is 'MOSTLY PORN'?

YOU are supporting censorship from a Nanny State.

    - - - Updated - - -

:blahblah: No proof that people are saying they have a right to watch child porn eh? Got it.

Just making stuff up as we go.....

You pretending you know what the (*)(*)(*)(*) I have is comical. America needs to take the route of Iceland and ban anything that may at any point put children at risk.
