I always love pointing out that the Red Ensign was much more popular than the Blue until mid 20th century and that of the various Australian flags it was the most common to go to war.

Can you imagine this argument in the US where they change their flag every time a new state is added?

Sorry but BS doesnt wash mate. They were small nomadic groups that were tens of thousands of years BEHIND the rest of the world. We made this country what is is today and it is a better place for it.

 

Behind, it's relative isn't it. We brought hoofed animals to a country that no hoof had ever been on, they have destroyed the land. We brought rabbits, pigs, foxes, cacti, in fact we brought all the feral animals and noxious weeds that are plaguing our country. I hear here often a hatred for governments, for the way we are screwing things up, rip off banks, miners raping our countryside. We brought in alcohol and drugs, we took away their land, their food sources and killed them in droves. They had lived here for around 60000 years with strict laws and no real government. You all rave on about politicians, well their system to me was the best. First don't have large nations, second have a government composed of those that have sagacity, not degrees in law or economics. A government that had been there done that, a council of elders, all those that have reached the stage in life where they were considered an elder. The had no trade, everything was everybody's, what nature provided was not to be owned, to be sold to the highest bidder. No one was better than anyone else, if your talent was weaponry, you made weapons, if your talent was hunting you hunted, fishing you fished, building you built. No one was rewarded because they were lucky enough to have brains, or if they were born into a certain family.

They lived together, one for all and all for one, in relative peace with each other, oh they had border squirmises etc, they are after all, despite Australian legislation for 150 years, they are human. We have had thousands of years of what you call civilised, and world war one and two show just how civilised we are, yet we expect them to change their ways in only 200 years. I know you think it is just a matter of doing it, of aping us, but some things are ingrained into DNA. Look at a sheepdog, even one raised in the city all it's life, they herd anything, I see one in Centennial Park herding ducks. Maybe in another 1000 years of breeding there will be sheep dogs that do not have the herding instinct, maybe in another 1000 years the Aboriginal people will be as civilised as we are, but God I hope not, I hope they are much more civilised.

I think you will find that if you take into account all the child abuse cases in this country, that the good old upstanding white fella would be attributed more than 70% of them. But just because the percentages change in accordance with population, the black man is so much worse. Child abuse is not discriminatory, it knows nothing about skin colour.
