I'll try to keep this simple.

If factory A produces a car but doesn't sell it, while factory B produces a car but does sell it, both factories have produced an equal amount of goods, but factory B adds more to national GDP than factory A does.

Do you understand that one simple example, or do you need more?

Now, to get back to the original point you were trying to make: If factory A produces 10 cars and sells them for $10,000 each, and factory B produces one car and sells it for $100,000, both factories have added the same value to national GDP, but factory A has produced ten times more than factory B.

The value of goods sold by each factory is the same, but factory A has produced more than factory B.

Do you now understand why ''higher value'', is not the same as ''more''?

In an effort to salvage the thread, I for one am going to ignore the member, until such a time they are prepared to take responsibility over how they respond to people. My rule of thumb is that if the person is being rude enough that you would ignore them socially, apply the same method on here, it saves a lot of bother.

Of course there are people, either through lack of knowledge, or more likely, an agenda, who will argue on behalf of the bean counters, international banking criminals, financial terrorists, and Ponzi scheme operatives, just as you will always find those that will argue and support any position. Esp one in which there may be some perceived personal gain. You do not need to be a prof of economics to grasp the basics, and once you grasp the basics, you soon see the rest falls into place, it is actually much easier to understand than people may think, sure, it is often dressed in a lot of terminology that sounds alien, and that is done on purpose. Yet once you define what the words and terms mean, then it is not too hard you grasp enough to then realise that what it comes down to is a system built by scammers, for the benefit of scammers, at the loss of the many.

How does anyone stop banks from pursuing a legally required profit motive? People complain about our fiat money being created "out of thin air" but corporate paper is even easier to create than our fiat money.

From one perspective and in that alternative, the maxim that it takes money to make money is nowhere more evident than with banks. Interest on money is analogous to payments for money to work instead of requiring a work ethic from real persons.
