We live in a time of partisanship, where a liberal must support everything that was labeled "liberal" and the same thing can be said about conservatives and libertarian. Stimulus is a peculiar case because most people, of strong partisanship mentality they may be, would use their heads when it comes down to everyday, more earthly fiscal issues, but those who support stimulus namely die hard, finger-jamming-in-ears liberals would just shut logic and reason down altogether when dealing with it. Let's begin with what stimulus is: in short, it means government print money, a lot of them then spend it. Then comes the first leap of thinking which requires an average IQ of 100 to proceed forward the currency would devalue. Then comes the second leap: it means the paper currency you have devalues. Feeling stupid for supporting stimulus yet? No, of course not, you are thinking: the rich would suffer more because they are rich, right? Pathetically wrong. The rich have most of their earthly possession in solid forms in other words, housing, factories, investment plans bundled together with government spendings, etc etc. In more other words, their wealth would not only be guaranteed to stay roughly the same, but also likely to increase thanks to massive government spending. In case you ask, no, I do not oppose stimulus. But I sure want to see the reaction of some of you liberals after understanding what stimulus really is.
Stimulus is wot is gud and printing more money is gud becus everybude gets sum. In my Canadian nanny state we all get sum from our guvurmunt. Instead of retardness you probably mean retardedness? But then who knows what 'you' ever mean?
Isn't the stimulus over? I thought that it was a big conservative victory to reduce it down to what it was. But of course the cons are still upset about it happening at all. I worry more about the real effect of things than the imaginary ones. Just be happy that a republican president did not have to deal with it. You have a nice target to blame all our problems on. Go to town.
It has a point though. Obviously there are millions of Americans who are suffering from some kind of selfinflicted mental illness. They have the Gestapo police under their beds and so they don't have the freedom to step close to the edge of their beds at night in the dark. If I was an American I shirley wouldn't.
