Nobody here hates America. There is nothing wrong with it. There is something wrong with exploiting this system to curb votes in your favor, which is what the Republican party attempted to do. My question, which you will go off-topic to avoid, is this: Why justify it? There are plenty of countries where votes aren't really counted, none of them pretty. Why not let the Democratic system run free of cleverly legislated voter suppression?

Well, you see, when you vote on a ballot, you do it not for a specific issue, but a candidate. Alrighty, so you get your representative, you send em' a nice old text, or even a letter if you're feelin' particularly fancy-like. That letter could say something like "Hi, don't regulate guns". Now, just wait a few days or weeks, and if your vote happens to be part of the bigger pile of votes that also say "Hi, I'd like you to be my representative", and a whole chunk o' people send that person a similar letter saying "Yeah, no gun control", then the liberals have failed at brainwashing you and tin foil won't feel as warm on the noggin as it used to. See? And zero fatalities from that! !!! Nah, gotta be liberal propaganda.
