So some of you know that I work at a radio station. It's nothing major but I love it. However our studio isn't so much a studio as it is a converted studio. Because of that we're not exactly soundproof. Noise bleeds in very easily. Well earlier today their were some kids running up and down the hallway being loud and disruptive. Both myself and the on air host were getting rather annoyed. Finally having enough I taped a little note on the window saying "Tell your dad that you have the mailman's eyes". Mean? Probably. The other guy and I got a good laugh out of it though.

Aside from me tattleing on myself here I'm just wondering about some of the stuff that you pull at work that you and other co workers got a kick out of.

I was an office manager in a plant that made air filters for ACs and other equipment. The second shift supervisor used to drive me nuts from time to time. A previous job of mine was an Admin in our local mental health office. The director of mental health was a big practical joker so I called him one day and asked if he would come to my place of employment and pretend to commit the second shift supervisor. He agreed and when he came, half the plant was hiding to watch. It really was pretty funny. The poor guy was beside himself. The director drug it out as long as he could but eventually told him it was a joke. Unfortunately, he also told him who was behind it all. *sigh*

I work in retail which is fantastic because you get to meet all kinds of ********s all day long. It's bad but we are constantly joking about the crazy customers that come into our store behind their backs. It's one of the best ways to let off steam when we deal with the same old, same old day in and day out.

We have this one customer who I am pretty sure has some kind of mental retardation, or schizophrenia. Anyways he comes into our store about twice a week and he buys the exact same picture frame every single time! He's always talking to himself and when he gets outside he'll sometimes knock his bike over and start shouting angrily at it. He's very dorky looking with thick framed glasses, kind of overweight, balding and he wears the exact same outfit every time he comes in, a red plaid shirt tucked into shorts that are way too big for him despite him already being overweight.

We have this running joke, every time this guy comes in I tell my co-worker and we joke about what this guy does with all these picture frames he's buying. We laugh and say he has another murder victim and we're like, "omg he's coming in to buy a new picture frame! *gasp!* *snirk!* He's got another victim!" I mean seriously, it's just by far one of the weirdest customers that we have come into our store on the regular.

We're constantly speculating on what this guy does with all these picture frames whenever he comes in to buy another. I said he probably has a bunch of cats and they keep dying so he memorializes them with photos and mounts them on his walls, my co-worker said he probably puts his murder/rape victims skinned faces int he frames. Just creepy dark humor that we laugh about. It's actually a lot funnier the way we go about talking about it in the hush hush gossipy tone and laughing about it every other sentence in person. lol

I took a call from a woman and began to process a claim for her defective spa pump. To complete the claim we need photos of the installation etc. The woman is becoming more hesitant with each section of the call.

To identify the type of pump I asked her how many horsepower is it rated at.

Finally she'd had enough and with a bit of an edge to her voice she said "Its a breast pump"

For the first time in a very long customer service career. I had nothing lol

First, an important fact: my wife works as a tow truck driver.

Last summer, she was working on a Friday night and got a call for a tire change at a bar. She took the call...the bar was a strip club, and the flat was on the manager's truck. (He couldn't get the spare down from its carrier.) It was a warm day, and she was in her usual hot-weather attire: jungle boots, a halter top, and shorts. After she finished, he looked her up and down, then asked, "You want an audition?" Without missing a beat, she replied, "Why? You need a bouncer?"

Don't you hate it when people can't take a joke. Seriously, it kills the laughter.

At least you didn't mention that you would be sending a handyman over there immediately. Don't imagine that would have went over to well.

Your wife is awesome. That's all that needs to be said.
