An open letter to the wonderful people of Egypt.

Please know that most Americans want Obama GONE. Please don't blame us for the disasterous and hatefull way Obummer turned his back on you. We love freedom here. Obama does not. He is NOT my President! Anything that socialist liar says is NOT what America wants. Please accept our best wishes for you and your countrymen to live in a country free from terrorism and strife. Lord knows we don't. Thank you!

Don't you wish you had a parliament, so if you didn't like the guy you could just toss him out?

You could have been rid of him years ago.

    Oh, please.

Obama, the US supported a democratic process that removed the old government and replaced it.

Morsi was elected by the Egyptian people.

He was not selected by Obama.

try to be a little less ignorant.

I'm sure they have more important things to worry about than some country half a world away.

I think they might blame previous American presidents for supporting a dictator.

No, Morsi wasn't just as bad as Mubarek, he was worse.

Mubarek was a moderate who kept the peace with Israel and protected Christians from persecution.

He was a good friend to America, and we turned our back on him.

It makes me wonder why anyone wants to be our friend the way we've betrayed them, Samoza in Nicaragua, the Shah of Iran, the people of Southeast Asia, etc.

Those men were all brutal dictators who deserved no support and no sympathy, and it is shameful the US supported such people.

I'm far from being an Obama lover, but you can't blame what has happened in the last year or so in Egypt on him.

I agree I wasn't all that happy to see Mubarek go. I don't think we should have said anything when the riots rose up against him. Because if you take sides and your side loses, that puts you in a heck of a place. Mubarek was about the only Arab country leader you could count on to keep peace with Israel and try and calm down the other Arab nations. They were a good Allie to us, even if the people weren't pro American or pro Israel.

Of course you can. While Morsi's government started to take more authoritarian measures, the Obama admin backed him. Do you think the Egyptian people are pissed at Obama for no reason?

Most Americans are happier with Obama than they were with the liar -in-chief, George Bush. Good thing Obama is in power now cause, if Bush was still there, he'd have bombed you all by now after making up some bogus excuse to do so, then stick Americans with the tab.

Morsi was elected by the people. Was Obama to tell him how he can rule? Wouldn't they be ticked at Obama if that is what the majority wanted? As I said last year, Obama would be wise not to say anything. We always get accused in meddling in other country's affairs when we do. Only give people more reasons to hate us.

WRONG! Bush had an average rating of 62% second term http://www.gallup.com/poll/116500/Presidential-Approval-Ratings-George-Bush.aspx. Obama is at 49% http://www.gallup.com/poll/162014/obama-approval-back-level-last-week.aspx and falling like a rock. Not everyone is following blindly..It only took 4 massive scandals to begin to wake them...and many still follow the piper...but a few have seen the path ahead and jumped out of line before the cliff he is marching them to.

You are reading it wrong .
Obama is just another US president , US foreign policy for the last ...as far as i can remember and even farther was always the same .
So no it is not Obama as a person, i know that there is a huge cultural gap between the middle east and new world but try to take a leap and understand them.

Actually, Obama is the first president to intentionally bomb a U.S. citizen without due process of law.

Also, Bush may have been a (*)(*)(*)(*) president but he didn't commit open acts of treason like Obama. Bush at the end of the day treated the enemy as the enemy.

Obama had a chance. He was extremely popular around the world when he stepped in for 2009.. Free credibility and reputation handed to him on a plate. The first black president, he was renowned like the next Martin Luther King Jr..

He HAD a huge opportunity. Shut down the gulag like he said he would instead of making up false excuses not to, not attack country after country etc.

He COULD have made the US that shining beacon. He had that opportunity, to restore U.S. credibility.

He took the wrong path. He decided to be belligerent and antagonize the whole world practically.

In his trip to Africa, he got greeted by mobs of anti-America protestors in basically every stop he made. All around the continent, greeted with hatred. The first black president, being nearly universally unwelcomed in his own ancestral continent. THAT should tell you something!

Could he ? obviously like some (all?) of your previous presidents he feels obliged to serve his sponsors more than his voters, common sense , international laws, peace , Pakistani civilians and so on.

It is a shame you join the Egyptians in not really understanding what free democracy is all about.

For democracy to work the losers must accept defeat and work to ensure their voices are heard while they work toward winning the next election. The winner must accept that the losers have legitimate concerns and be ready to accept losing next time.

Both sides failed in their democratic duties.

Morsi undertook to recreate Mubarak's dictatorship.
The other side worked to overthrow him from the moment he took office (sound familiar?)

and finally, once again, Obama did not choose Morsi just as Obama did not choose to overthrow mubarak. The Egyptian people did.

Sorry, but authoritarianism should be stamped out as soon as it rears it ugly little head. You don't sit by and say, "Oh well, we'll get em' next election". That is lunacy.
