Well, citizens or not, legal immigrants have to pay US taxes. So they either get a greencard and pay taxes, and have the option to become citizens, or they are deported. No middle ground. Those who refuse to legalize get kicked out.
I really have to agree with this simple point, because this whole thread is about like the NRA argument that if you make it mandatory for a background checks, criminals won't buy the guns legally. LOL! Duh! That's the purpose for it. If they don't want legal status here, they can be deported and locked out, if they do want to become citizens, then they should have that option open to them. People from Mexico don't even have a way to do it legally unless they are already wealthy, in which case they don't need to come here at all. As always, conservatives don't want people to have "choices", they want to keep the slave labor game going.
And it is really a 2fer because if amnesty is declared after a certain period of time, the only illegals will be those who know they wont meet the requirements, example illegal activity etc, and you start throwing them out
Evidence please. Many undocumented are already paying taxes, especially those who have been here for a number of years. Yes they may be using someone else's SS number, but they are paying the taxes.

They're paying taxes, not contributing to funds to provide for them. They don't have any legal right to any benefits. Even citizens legitimately in the program don't have a legal right to benefits. Congress can change the benefits at any time.
