She said it's too soon to judge whether there will be any long-term serious repercussions from the intelligence leaks by the former National Security Agency contractor who fled to Hong Kong and then Russia after seizing documents disclosing secret U.S. surveillance programs in the U.S. and overseas, which he has shared with The Guardian and Washington Post newspapers.

It makes me wonder what else does this administration have to hide concerning the NSA. Perhaps Snowden hasn't told us everything, and maybe Obama doesn't want anything else to come out if they were to put him on trial.

You think they were targeting conservatives or something?
    I haven't heard that yet.

The only thing that is obvious is that the Obama administration has
tried to suggest Snowden is no big deal.

I agree that this seems to be "politics as usual".

If only, we could find nice statesmen of morals in modern times.

Sounds like the USA has intimidated all countries with regard to giving Snowden asylum. Where are the NSA files to document these conversations?

I wouldn't know. It seems Snowden has more information he hasn't released. Perhaps the administration is hoping if they let me go, he won't release anything else. If they bring him home for trial, anything else he has to share would certainly come out. At this point, I wouldn't put passed any kind of espionage by our government.

I am not sure why our First Amendment is not a priority for the electorate of the United States whenever our federal Congress cannot justify a declaration of war that includes wartime tax rates to pay for it.

Well anything is possible I guess, but Snowden must be a big deal.
The Obama Team does nothing but lie.

Russia has all the Snowden data from news reports, all of it from the laptops.

So Russia has what the US doesn't and what has Obama done about it?

IF Snowden has indeed shown what he has to the Russians, then that changes his charges significantly. I have seen no evidence that such has happened, but if he has, then the data he has will be more about embarrassing administrations of the 5 eyes... and he intends to spill it all no matter what happens.

What has Obama done about it? Pressured European countries to illegally detain and search a head of states aircraft and personal effects on a witch hunt, further embarrassing our great nation.

Another ABUSE of power by the dumbest president in USA history. Obama embarrassed himself and Snowden wasn't even on the plane. If Obama was white, he would have been impeached 6-7 times by now.

It can't be real times of war sufficient to deny and disparage our privileges and immunities, if our federal Congress cannot justify tax rates meet for that exigency.

    Wow, big deal!

If there are secrets on those laptops, Obama should be
calling out the dogs to get them back, immediately.

Instead Obama is vacationing and Kerry is off lounging on his yacht.
Susan Rice says it's no big deal.

    America is screwed.

President Barack Obama has publicly displayed a relaxed attitude toward Snowden's movements, saying last month that he wouldn't be "scrambling jets to get a 29-year-old hacker."

Why does the right always clamor for more government programs while declaiming and decrying the sad state of entitlement mentality in the US.
