As I do not live in a stand your ground state....it is unlikely. I live in "Bullitt" county, a mile from the Knob Creek gun range....guns are everywhere, and owned by ....uh....what you might have heard about Kentucky.

People stand their ground here by extension of mentality....it is in the DNA.

Cool beans, I grew up in Oldham County, outside of Lagrange.

 

Stand your ground wasn't an issue in this case. It was self defense. Since forensics proved Martin was sitting on top of Zimmerman lying on his back, hitting him, Zimmerman had absolutely NO escape route to retreat even if he wanted to. That's what made the shooting justified.

 

Disappointed?

All "viagra-ed" up for your "riots" and then your girlfriend left you with nothing but your "gun" in your hand?

Feeling frustrated with that overwhelming desire to "stand your ground?"

They got what they wanted - increased racial tension - more racial hatred, if you please. Verdict or not, riots or not, they accomplished the prime directive - stir up some hot summer race (*)(*)(*)(*) so blacks aren't tempted to forget that whites are an oppressive evil and the whole reason they live in poverty and violence and therefore the Democratic party and white liberals in general are still relevant to their victimhood. Making certain your minority voting blocks are properly outraged against The White Man's oppressive ways requires regular maintenance.

 

I wouldn't even dignifying it by calling it media; how about calling it conservative hysteria?
