Can Zimmerman still own a firearm?

Question, can zimmerman still own a firearm? or has he been blocked from having them for some reason?

As I understand it, his gun was returned to him. If he's smart, he's got several stashed back, jic.

 

I am almost certain he can, as obstacles to owning a firearm and having a CHL are normally based on CONVICTIONS. In Texas, there are other obstacles such as having a restraining order against you, and also, I believe, being behind on child support.

I see no reason to abridge his 2nd amendment rights.

 

Yes he can. He isn't a felon. As the poster above mentioned he either has had his 9mm used in the Martin killing or it will be returned to him at some point. I suppose there is the possibility that it may be used as evidence in any civil proceeding filed by the Martin family of if the DOJ files a rights suit against him. But I doubt it as there would be nothing new to be gained from it as forensics evidence.

Zimmerman needs to sue for a few million and get the heck out of USA in hurry. Blacks are going to hunt him down for decades to come, much like the muslims did with Salman Rushdie. Best thing he can do is put a few million in a bank account in the Caymans and live the rest of his life under an assumed name, snorkeling and hiking rain forests.

 

Why wouldn't he be able to? He hasn't been convicted of a felony, and is no longer being accused of a violent felony.

As Zimmerman was found not guilty, and not convicted of a felony, I think it is safe to assume that he is indeed legally allowed to own a firearm.

When somebody punches you in the nose you should be able to punch back, unless you're just a rank sissy. and in that case you shouldn't even come outside. just stay in the house. Especially if you claim to ba a tough guy. Pulling a gun should only happen if your attacker pulls a gun first, only then is it true self defense. What Zimmerman did was the true definition of a wimp.

 

If the other guy pulls a gun, it is too late for you to pull your own. You'll be dead before you clear the holster.
