    really?

    even basic wiki...........

In Judaism, "chosenness" is the belief that the Jews are the chosen people, chosen to be in a covenant with God. This idea is first found in the Torah (the first five books of the Tanakh, which are also included in the Christian Bible) and is elaborated on in later books of the Hebrew Bible. Much is written about these topics in rabbinic literature. The three largest Jewish denominations—Orthodox Judaism, Conservative Judaism and Reform Judaism—maintain the belief that the Jews have been chosen by God for a purpose.

Apparently you didnt have a clue and defending these 'chosen ones' that think they are in favor of god, but more like in the fury of every 'god' as being the bad guys of selfish pride.
'self love'..... that's a selfish kind of thinking

    are you a 'chosen one'?

I like equality and why i can say without any reservation, the selfish will not make it.

It has EVERYTHING to do with the Israeli influence in the US, in my view. It has nothing to do with what you think is Israeli influence in the US (which you repeatedly refer to as Jewish, Kosher, etc., as if to indicate all people of the Jewish faith worldwide share the same interests, or have the same desires as the Israeli govt does; I'll refer to the more precise term for the people we are describing, Israeli, when discussing Israeli govt interests and strategies, again not an entire worldwide religious movement indicated by your terms). So although what I said has nothing to do with what you said, it is required for my view of the situation, which is very different from yours.

So at the beginning of the debate, I disagree with the fundamental principles of your argument. Your analysis requires multiple conclusions to be drawn, while mine is simple. Since you couldn't deduce my position from my original post, I'll be more simple and direct:

In my view, I rely on simple facts and the logic that follows them. Weapons of mass destruction were used in Damascus (among other places), Syria. Damascus is about 130 miles from Tel Aviv, about the same distance from Los Angeles to San Diego. I ask you, and anyone else reading this to consider that distance. Imagine a city that far away from where you currently live, in which WMD's (of any kind), were being used. While considering this, ask yourself, would you consider that WMD use of no interest to you?

I submit that most people in the world would have a strong interest in this, and it is the primary reason that the Israeli govt influences the US to take action in Syria. I submit you are wrong in what appears to be your analysis, that the Israeli govt is acting under some Jewish conspiracy to conquer the Middle Eastern region. Your analysis is complicated and assumes a lot. Mine, once you ask yourself the above question and gain my perspective, is simple:

Of course it is in all Israelis interest that WMD's are being used in Syria. Of course they would influence the US to act, because otherwise they would have to act. And because Israel has much less military capabilities than the US; they would have to act sooner than the US would (to not only this situation, but other aggression in the Middle East), and in addition, their limited capability also limits their ability to avoid civilian casualties to the degree that the US can. This (and diplomatic agreements with Israel) explains why Israeli interests become US interests. Simple.

Jewish, ignorant, denial, them, BS, Kosher...hmmm. I disagree with your use of all of these adjectives, as in none of them are accurate.

Yes, as my above analysis shows. Anyone in the world living 130 miles from this event would think so.

I can't see how this can be interpreted in any other way than Yadlin is Jewish...Jews are blood hungry for the kill. I disagree on that analysis.

Yes it is important, and aligns with my analysis. If the US with its vastly better capabilities is not willing to act in defense of Israel, then Israel needs to know this, so that they can act.

My above explanation is much simpler, and doesn't require the use of unspin, REALLY, bidding, tribal brothers, ilk, gentile, true to form, or sin.

Yes, all good things for Israel and the US, and thus more reasons to act in their interests.

Good. Then please proceed without the usual name calling and use of the word 'bigot'.

    Many thanks.

    Meantime...

U.S. Jewish groups call on Congress to approve use of force against Syria’s Assad

The American Jewish establishment jumped off the fence on Tuesday and came out in full support of Congressional approval of President Barack Obama’s plans to launch a military strike against Syria’s chemical weapon capacity.

How disengenuous of you. You provide the intro to a wiki article that does not in any way describe how the concept of "chosen" is actually interpreted. I am not surprised tho.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jews_as_the_chosen_people#Rabbinic_Jewish_views_of_chosenness

    http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/get-hardy/201203/seven-step-prescription-self-love

    nope, I'm an atheist.

Self love is not selfishness. Not a student of psychology I see.

I thought you would know what 'chosen ones' means by the theology, but since you have no idea, i used wiki.

I have known what 'chosen ones' are before wiki existed

but you apparently didnt and have a hard time saying 'thanks'

I pointed out that 'chosen ones' shares a selfish pride.

You change it to the self love of fromm. If i said, 'israelis are bigots', does that make them into KKK?
no wonder you dont know much of judaism, zionism and the 'chosen ones' that are the selfish bigots.

again, you just took one word of my sentence and tried to change the course of the claim.

Try rereading the line and find, that I am dead on for each item i have said, even in this post.

Apparently you didnt have a clue and defending these 'chosen ones' that think they are in favor of god, but more like in the fury of every 'god' as being the bad guys of selfish pride..

by using the wiki 'Fromm' definition, it appears that not being honest with oneself is perhaps why you dont exhibit unconditional love

...loving oneself means caring about oneself, taking responsibility for oneself, respecting oneself, and knowing oneself (e.g. being realistic and honest about one's strengths and weaknesses). He proposed, further, that in order to be able to truly love another person, a person needs first to love oneself in this way

Perhaps take the LESSON and just say, 'thank you'.

I will use the words bigot and bigotry as appropriate. That they can appropriately be applied to many of your posts is not something I am in control of, is it?

And as GlobalCitizen has taken you to school wrt Israeli "interest" in WMD use in Syria, I'll leave it at that.

Sure can. The lack of rhetoric on attacking Syria from the past twenty years until the last couple.

No Jack, it brings us back to where we don't have all the facts as we are stil awaiting the investigation so nobody knows anything for certain so far.

Once thing is for sure though and that is that Israel has very little to gain by the overthrow of the Assad regime.

Unlike others, I am not at all ashamed of my bigotry. I despise (neo)nazis, white power pinheads, religious fanatics of all stripes, holocaust deniers, commies, many run of the mill haters and paedophiles (not necessarily in that order). Notice with the exception of paedophiles, it is bigotry against specific unpalatteable hatreds, ideas and political concepts. Not based on stupid generalizations of ethnicities.

But for some reason the people who seem to object the most to being identified as bigots are bigots themselves. I guess they can fool themselves all the time.

Nope. My position is that there is no benefit to Israel by having Assad attacked, weakened or removed. Please Jack, read the link and quote I posted as it will save time and you having to put words in my mouth over and over again and have to subsequently be corrected..

Jack, observing you get something wrong the first time and then build an entire fantasy argument around errant information makes me more than chuckle but, let's stop wasting time and try to have a serious discussion for a change.

Just repaying the gag thread you made showing there is no real incentive for Israel to even want to do anything with Syria.

    This was a hoot,
So it all boils down to the Druzeand the Kurds huh?:roflol:

    good for you.
    What's a holocaust denier?

The world knows that ww2 was ugly, just by reading the history. But what is 'holocaust' to you; a) the 6 million that idiots tried to exterminate. b) that almost 70 million died, is a nasty war, that had the 'burnt offering' of hiroshima, nagasaki and the fire bombing of civilians.\?

    make the choice
bigot has nothing to do with 'political concepts'.

Telling you that ww2 is not just about 'jewish deaths', means that i do not accept the bias of bigots and that I dont care about being 'politically correct', simply because i do not adher to the accepted bias of bigots.

Pedophiles are just sick sobs. It aint about bigotry. Put a glass rod in the winky of a convicted pedophile and air it on the news when the rod is broken and 'magically' i bet pedophilia is reduced, across the world

I have been watching you squirm for months

and you still post, which is practically scary.

    Jack did in the OP.

I would too but they are not relying on any one piece of evidence but rather a lot of it all brought together to find out exactly what occurred and by whom.

Golly, don't wish too hard dude, you were owned on another thread for making nine of them yesterday.

    ooops
    Mistake number 1
    just like in iraq?

Was it the images of trucks making the chemical weapons in the back, as to why the west attacked iraq or was it the intercepted communications?

Either way, it was all found to be crap.

    that's crap.

That kind of BS is why i dont like liars (of false witness).

    .

If this is so, why does the Jerusalem Post article that the OP referenced quote Yadlin and Golov saying --

In the long run, “it is vital for Israel that the fighting in Syria does not end with a victory for the Tehran-Damascus-Hezbollah axis,” they added.

Any school kid would be able to tell you... that the border of the Hizb Allah would augment from a Lebanon border to a Lebanon+Syria border to the detriment of the Israelis. If this ever happens Iran would be controlling this border with their own army.

No need to make any choice. The holocaust refers specifically to the planned extermination of eurojews by the nazis and their pals. That so many others died in the war is not controversial at all. You'll find monuments and museums and history books and remberance ceremonies in virutually every nation that was effected.

best do some english homework. you apprently don't quite comprehend the meaning of the term.

But you accept your own bias. Mirror mirror.

I am extremely bigotted against pedophiles. again your personal definition of bigotry is incomplete.

    Guess you need new glasses.

I don't doubt it is practically scary when you are constantly called out for fooling yourself and denying your own extreme bias.
But keep trying, maybe one day your wit will catch up to your own opinion of same.

    - - - Updated - - -

not even remotely close. Or are you suggesting that the OP isn't a jew hater?

Are the other 'pals' jewish believers too?

    Which pals?

I know. Should be more memorials for the 70 million than the less that 10% minority, that actually declared war on germany, before the war even started.
    sure i do.

Let me use it in a sentence. A bigot is someone that brings up holocaust, rather than ww2 as the proper designation of ww2.

i aint bias on this matter as i focus on equality, while you focus on defending BIGOTS.
Nah..... I just aint as obtuse as the simple minded

I hate liars. That is my bias.
    no you are.

are you that ignorant of world war II history and the nations that comprised the axis powers?

Exactly how many more memorials should there be? And why haven't the nations effected not created more?
as for the idiotic notion that the jews declared war on germany, I suggest you not take one stupid headline in an English rag as gospel. You once again demonstrate a rather distorted perspective on history.

Once again you demonstrate you have no clue what the word actually means. And, I used the term in context.
Now I'll use another word. Only an idiot can't understand a direct reference to a subset is not a reference to the entire set.

right you aren't biased. As hilarious as that statement actually is, it won't make it at the comedy club. Boy you have a truly distorted self image.

    Self hatred is not healthy.

I know you are but what am i? Can't get much more schoolyard than that, child.

What Israel wanted is not to dominate but to be accepted,
and as long as it's existence is threatened it will continue doing things to protect itself.

That you are aware of. There are lots more believe you me.

You bet. That one took over a decade to gather all the evidence needed, this one should be done once the UNSC convenes next week or so

It was pretty much the non cooperation documented by the Inspectors over the course of four years or so as well as the non payment of reparations, ecological reparations, return of foreign nationals, non adherence to them making human rights improvements and a host of other borken ceasefire conditions. All of it documented pretty well as the Iraqis were frequently called on the carpet to adhere.

Actually no. After the invasion Iraq could still not be found in adherence to the ceasefire agreements until the UN Convened and stated as such. In order for this to occur Kuwait had to agree (much to their chagrin) to take a reduced payment plan but, it took years after the invasion for this to occur.

Well, post #565 list nine lies and explains why they are so and, is awaiting your factual counter proof.

That's not Assad, that is the cauldron of poo that might come into power should things go south as in increased rebel activity begets more Hezbollah and Iranian involvement.

    He echos my message;

"Israel has a supreme interest in safeguarding the quiet on its borders and with its neighbors, the former military intelligence chief stated. “Continuing the calm security routine with Lebanon and Syria… is a moral, security, and economic interest. Israel must avoid as much as it can being dragged into the Syrian civil war."

Israel liked things just the way they were and has no interest in an Al Qaeda influenced bunch of yahoos taking over and carrying out attacks on the border whenever they smoke too much hubbly bub.
