What state do you live in that requires an ID to vote and always has?

Article is dumb. I just glanced it. Getting the required ID takes at least the initiative of calling lol. The government isn't going to do that for you.

The article is dumb according to you, and you brought it to our attention. Now how dumb is that?

We'll, the Think Progress article is quoting what you yourself have quoted here. And so, if the article is dumb and you quoted the same exact thing to make a point, then someone would have to be pretty dumb when calling what they them self quoted, as dumb and post it here.

You are making no sense here. He is quoting an article you link to make a point about what you are posting. It does not mean it is his source or that he thinks it is good. This is a silly argument you are making here.

Try going back to the post before my link and he plainly is the one who brought up the Nikki Haley Taxi service for voters first. My link is just calling him out with his own claims of Nikki Haley. If you pay attention, my posts make perfect sense.

You cannot lambast someone for dealing with your linked material as if their quoting it somehow legitimizes it.

So what state do you live in that requires the presentation of an ID to vote?

I linked the material "after" he made the statements of Nikki Haley. And when I linked what he was talking about, he never told the whole story of the taxi service. I did.

And where I live is none of yours.

I think you were never required to show an ID to vote.

We always showed them anyway, whether we had to or not. Like I said before. I have no problem with ID. I have a problem in states making it difficult to get the required ID.

huh? You showed your IDs when nobody asks for them? Odd.

give me an example of how states are making it difficult for people to get an ID.

College students in N.C. used to get an ID. on campus. Now they have to go elsewhere to get one in order to vote. I know for a fact those kids when school starts can be so busy with school work as to be overwhelming. Why now do they have to take time to go someplace else to get a government issued ID? And speaking of students in N.C., their even trying to stop students from voting altogether. Forget the ID. Here are some other very compelling hurdles people especially in the south are having to go through; http://www.scpronet.com/wordpress/2...h-carolina-than-anywhere-else-in-the-country/

Why does the right continually deny and disparage the privileges and immunities of the least wealthy while favoring the wealthiest, under our form of Capitalism and our Institution of money based markets?

Cry me a river. What you are really saying is you think students should be allowed to use their student ID. Sorry that is not an acceptable form of ID. They are US citizens and will need to use a state issued ID.

Is that all you have because that was real weak.

Apparently you never went to the link. Why isn't a student ID an acceptable form of ID, and what good reason is there for it to not be? And like I said before that you ignored; they're even trying to keep students from voting altogether. What about the hurdles going on in S.C. that you never addressed? Cry me the river excuse you give isn't going to cut it. When people are disenfranchised because of these weird voter ID requirements, all hell is going to break loose. And the excuse you give will just get a good laugh when its all said and done. I think you and the rest of the right wing fantasy patrol need to understand some basic realities here. People aren't going to sit around and let you all take their right to vote out from under them with all these tricks and maneuvers. This will come home to bite the republican party in a big way. The majority of the country does not trust the party to begin with. Much less after all this.

An official form of ID needs to come from the state and regulated. Student ID can be mishandled and faked.

Those poor students too busy to get an ID.. Ridiculous.

We'll,at least we get the right wing excuses.

And I new you would ignore my link on all the ID requirements they have going on in S.C. I understand! That's not a very convenient argument to tackle there.

Because our form of Capitalism is no longer Capitalism. It's Corporatism! And a money based market cannot work under Corporatism for everyone. Just the few!

A student ID is issued by a private organization. It is no different than a company ID. Using one to vote is like using your Microsoft employee ID card to vote.

Actually, the Microsoft ID is probably more reliable, many universities have work-study students issue IDs. Give one of them $50 and they'll probably give you an ID saying anything you want.

Isn't that one reason for the social-ism of a social contract?

Like I said. For the few! The logic of it all, is squarely in front of us.
