This will be an on going thread to help locate missing truck drivers. I want to make it very clear, I am in no way promoting the site these alerts come from. I simply want to get as many eyes as possible looking for these missing men and women. I will update the thread as soon as I can when each alert is resolved. Just came across, the driver has been found safe. Seems his rig broke down in an area with no cell service.
UPDATE 7/30/13: Driver is Byron Suggs, age 47, African American, 6'4", 200#, black hair, brown eyes. Most likely pulling a stepdeck trailer (not 100% sure on this part). Last known to be in Shorewood IL; hospitals in area have been called with no luck. ACTIVE ALERT 7/30/13 Few details are known on this one. Driver in Chicagoland, reported to company he was heading to a hospital, and can not be located (nor can the truck). The truck in this image is REPRESENTATIVE of the truck he is driving; his truck # is 1008. Freightliner FLD condo. No contact with his family.
NEW ALERT. Missing Driver Reported by Missing Truck Driver Alert Network: Arturo Gonzalez drives for Bullet Transportation, Truck # 8. This is a 2004 International light blue with plates RH9F20. The trailer is a 2000 Fontaine flatbed #09 plate # X75512. His load was delivering to Catarina, TX area, and returning to Houston. He was to deliver 8/21 and return to Houston 8/22. If you have any information please contact police.
Update on the above alert. This includes a picture of the tractor. A friend tells me that the cell phone ping puts him in the Laredo Tx area.
