If William F. Buckley could see all the "tax is tyranny, their takin' our guns, Obama is a socialist blah blah blah" rhetoric that permeates these boards, what do you think he'd say? I ask because, when I joined here four years ago, there was none of that garbage and the conservatives had some intellectual credibility. They had some actual ideas that they believe in and they were respectful and their points had some bearing on reality. But now it seems that American conservatism has no place in any intellectual circles and has been reduced to populist, anti-intellectual garbage. 1. Those two guys in the sub/video are subhuman scum. Plain and simple, they are two of the most disgraceful people I´ve have the displeasure of witnessing. Scum. When a society adopts the values of people such as these, it has really hit rock bottom. I'll bet a pound to a pinch of (*)(*)(*)(*) that they associate with being Christian, no offence to Christians, but the US Right profess Christianity, and act in 180 degree different manner. 2. The point raised about the GOP proposals, some having been tried before by the GOP, and having failed. So why oh why do they re-propose them now...
