Yeah, like when we quote 0bama in context, and compare what he said then, to what he says now?

    Conspiracy ramblings. Didn't read.

Obama is not left wing media. Plenty of real left wing media calls out Obama for his flip flopping.

I can't speak for all of the posters in here, but for me I cannot stand talk radio period; whether its conservative or liberal its all negative each and everyday. When was the last time you heard them say anything positive (and i don't mean in a joking way) during one of their broadcasts? All they do is whine, whine and whine. Must be awful going through life being so negative.

As usual the left will blame the 'other party' for providing the source of harm/brainwashing/et cetera (nevermind that Pew Resarch found MSNBC to be the most biased cable news network by far).

Even the ancient old goat herders who wrote the story about Adam and Eve knew that liberals' line of thought was nuts. Liberals are the ones who'd blame the serpent or the woman for giving Adam the apple - instead of blaming Adam for choosing to eat the apple.

If even guys who lived over 3,000 years ago knew you were nuts, that should tell you something (but it probably won't).

The "full court press" is you propagandists burying the thread in bullsheet. You won't stop until "conservative" becomes the new moniker for 'liars treating the public like retards.'

I haven't listened to Rush much in the last several years, but he is correct most of the time. He is a huge success n spite of not having college, and that speaks well for him. He sheds the light of truth on liberals

Thanks for posting a video that supports my point that there were groups within the US, lying, in order to demoralize the US will to fight the wars I was participating in for 10 years. Someone was intentionally misleading people to promote 9/11 as a conspiracy. The conspiracy theory doesn't match up with the sentiments of many Saudis that I saw prior to 9/11. The reason 9/11 happened is clear, and that is because there is a movement in the ME to demonize the West and Israel. I was not surprised in the least to hear 19 Saudis committed the act. I heard their anger from their own mouths for 6 months prior to 9/11. I detected glee in a segment of their population after the USS Cole was almost sunk. Your world theories ignore a global movement against the West, a movement that is fueled by the perversion of a religion. Keep ignoring it at your own peril.

First off- I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, don't care to listen to him, and unless the crick rises too fast, have no plans to listen to him. I will go even farther and state unequivocally I do not listen to any 'talking heads' on radio. I do not need any of those clowns, regardless of their genre, to inform me of what to believe, think, or do. They are entertainers, making bundles of money and laughing all the way to the bank.

It seems for a thread titled about talk radio, the Limbaugh haters immediately jumped on his ass and the Limbaugh lovers were just as quick to jump to his defense.

The author of the article speaks of his Dad being brainwashed- I would suggest for him to read some accounts of the brainwashing that took place of American POW's during the Korean War. There was no UCMJ at the time, and men broke like matchsticks. The gentleman may then appreciate the meaning of the word and be a tad less cavalier in applying it. I lost my Dad in July of '89, and every single day the Good Lord has allowed me to remain upon this Earth, I am mindful of him and how much I would appreciate hearing his council and listening to his BS again. Brainwash me, Pop.

Brainwashing does not need to involve torture.

In fact the most effective ways don't involve torture.

Brainwashing is what propaganda is all about.

Note the following quote by Joseph Goebbels.

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

If you have ever listened to a Right Wing Shock Jock and you keep this quote in mind you will notice that is exactly the technique they use.

You can condense everything Rush Limbaugh says in a three hour program into one type written page that would take no more than 5 minutes to read. It's all about the repetition.

Oh, and by the way the author of the article is a woman.

I found it interesting that several right wingers were unable to figure that out.

I lost my dad in 1957.

He was a hard drinking, womanizing, irresponsible piece of (*)(*)(*)(*).

I doubt he ever voted in his life.

I was only 9 years old when he drank himself to death.

And when I die and go to Hell, I'm going to go looking for that son of a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) so I can kick his ass.

    See you in Hell Dad!

He's hardly common sense. He's bombastic, loud, abrasive and insulting most of the time.

What I don't understand, and just bear with me a bit, why people are happy to be known as a dittohead? Really? That's in the same vein as Koolaid Drinker. How can any person possibly accept being called a Dittohead? That assumes complete compliance and acceptance of his word as gospel, and I see so many people do exactly that, even when he's been proven wrong many times.

The same is true of most of the media regardless of tilt, they all have private angles they want to push, none of them are truly unbiased.

Give me an example of what turns you off? "Bombastic, abrasive, loud and insulting" doesn't say anything except for what you might have heard from someone else. Personally....he reminds me of a teddy bear. But then...I actually listen to him.

Fox News and talk radio is NOT brainwashing anyone. They just report news as they see it. Fox BTW almost always brings both sides of a point forward, and lets the viewer deside for themselves. The MSM almost always on the other hand presents the leftwing side, and want to brainwash you that it is the only side.

All of the leftwing whiners her get their underlovlies in a wad because they hate the fact that there are other viewpoint other than theirs. Learn to live with it and realize that there are better and smarter newscasters in the world than the leftwing lying Dan Rather.

Following the leader. We see that on all sides all the time. We have a tendency to group around one who eloquently voices what we are often unable to put into words. Sadly, and right or wrong, it reflects on us as an individual.
I have often thought that many of the pundits/leaders/advocates must have read Hitler's rule book for gathering the masses...if such a book exists I don't know.
Mr. Adolf had observed a trend, found his niche, mastered the art of manipulating the masses at the right time in history, milked a need, a desperation, and soon had a vast following.
Of course I am not comparing Rush et al to Hitler by any means. However, we can't deny the fact that Rush, Sharpton, Jackson et al, are masters of their game. We have to decide whether the game they play is for the greater good or their own personal gain, whether to nod at their every word or remain individual and independent thinkers.

I listen to him when I get tired of the local radio stations, and can't take the time to plug in my phone to listen to it instead, IE driving instead of fiddling with something and causing an accident. Generally because I can't believe anyone takes him seriously. Most of what I hear is only half the story, or a complete and utter lie.

Well if you think only one side puts out propaganda, it shows how brainwashed you are. Both sides do it. People on both sides quote their Party's propaganda word for word. We are so Party oriented that we have stopped thinking for ourselves. We don't want to listen to anyone else.

Around here it is too much like a football game. The recent shutdown, felt more like some heroic goal line stand, than dealing with a dysfunction in government affecting literally millions, and with potential wreck the world economy

Well, Mr Joad, with all due respect, I listen not to either Right Wing Shock Jocks or Left Wing Shock Jocks. ( I am sure your failing to mention them was just an oversight )

I might also suggest I couldn't give a tinker's damn if the author is, was, or shall be, a one eyed, one horned flying purple people eater, she might just do better in that Rock and Roll Band than writing crap like this.

If you limit your listening experiences to only one side, you won't be much better than this father. Both side put out propaganda, I don't care what person you listen to. I quit listening to Rush a few years ago. Even then I could only believe about 80% of what he said. The Left is just as bad. They have their people believing there is nothing wrong in having this huge debt and we can still start more give away programs. They believe in more government when most of the problems we're in was caused by government. The Right has a boycott against GM because their party believes the bailout was wrong. As if boycotting GM is going to have any good effect on our country and jobs.

The shutdown was stupid with no chance of winning. But spending like we are will also wreck the economy.
