The whole point of minorities is how to accommodate them. If Canada hadn't been culturally accommodating then we would have problems with higher crime rates, violence and the social ills that have hit America. Canada changed its whole identity to accommodate Quebec. We have a loose federation of provinces, we have multi-culturalism, two national languages and a very tolerant cultural identity all because of Quebec. We haven't done it perfectly but we have nowhere near the social ills that America has. Repeated American intolerance created the black sub-culture. It will continue until you learn tolerance.

It's also funny that you choose to ignore the issue of language. America hasn't had to deal with it so you dismiss it like it's nothing. With the changing demographics of the southern states it may yet become an issue and you'll finally understand.

It's sad that Americans only learn about other countries through their military. If America wasn't so insular it might be easier to police the world.

My point is about the hypocrisy of hate crime legislation. I shouldn't have to explain that.

 

Those are your words and I'm sure everyone who is black fits your racist perception, right? My point was that you've fallen right into the trap the media set for you by expressing your outrage against another race. It's normal to be mad, but the way to fix it is not to do exactly what they wanted you to do, which was get mad, fester the hate, contribute to the attention given to it, and demoralize another race as if your own doesn't do the same, even if it is in lower numbers.

How we deal with issues says a lot about us.

I have made 500 posts on here and I have never made an anti-American post until today. It's tough when you're constantly told you don't know anything about America simply because the other person disagrees with your politics. It gets really tiresome. I like America and I hate being put in a position where nationalism becomes an issue.

 

Where is the hypocrisy? These folks were attacked over a cigarette, do you think if this couple had of been black that they would not have attacked them also.

I won't agree that they "deserved it." However, you are probably right about their political leanings and in that regard they have noone to blame but themselves for supporting such that tolerates or excuses this kind of behavior.

It is not a hate crime: The victims are white.

 

In your original post, you referred to hate crimes. That is saying that you consider this crime racially motivated.

You only purpose was to talk about a black on white crime like it was news. Crimes happen every day and we do not start a thread on every crime.

You'd do well to vacate the assumptions. I don't disagree that had the victims been black, the black teens probably would have stomped their faces too. But were it white teens stomping an innocent black couple, hate crime charges would already be on the table. And Al Sharpton would be showering at the Holiday Inn in Tacoma.
