Lazy brain syndrome, pride in ignorance, a failing culture and educational system... Look how illiterate so many people are today despite the best intentions and efforts of educators and policy makers. What happened? High tech is a fair choice of culprit, I suppose. Digital text communication has significantly cheapened the written word, changing writing from an art form to something as cheap and utilitarian as bar room speech.
