Oh the jobs will still exist, since if they did not, managers would be forced to do more work themselves. They will simply pay more money.

Just less. Where will the money come from?

They would just close shop and invest elsewhere.

Or automate. Or hire only experienced people and lay off low production workers.

Never any consequences in the leftist world huh? Just dictate whatever you want (but are unwilling to do yourself - and you will ignore this point because you are as dishonest in debate as every other Lefter) and it will happen? Where will this money come from again? Higher prices?

Why not make it $20 an hour then? What is black youth unemployment at today? Before the 1960s minimum wage bump?

do you have a chart showing minimum wage increases lead to higher wages paid? why not?

You ignore all variables I see.

no. It just means that business that hires minimum wage workers will be less competitive.

Not because of minimum wage though. Paying more money out doesnt make your business more profitable. Fast food companies pay more then minimum wage now. Raise it above what they pay and jobs will get cut.

but you feel ready to ise it as a source.

These people arent economists then they are morons. Paying people more so they have more to spend doesnt make you richer. If you disagree send me $100 i will spend it and you will be better off. I will even spend it where you work.

The fallacy you are falling for is the broken window fallacy. You pretend money in the business doesn't help the economy as much as in the workers pocket.

And the pot calls the kettle black.

Even they know the "study" doesn't prove a damn thing.

Um no businesses do not become less profitable. They in combination raise prices, lay off workers, and seek to expand less rapidly because it can take longer to acquire additonal money for the expansion. What happens when you raise minimum wage is that you have more people making minmum wage and it still isn't enough to live comfortably on.

When the intervention of the state in the free market prevents economic growth and opportunity, it's the state that becomes responsible for the poverty it creates.

"Minimum wage should match cost of living"

    Taxcutter says:
No. Minimum wages should be in line with the economic value of the work done.

    Thomas Sowell says:
"The real minimum wage is a constant of Zero".

I think we all know this, but just not all think through the implications.
