After winning the primary, Tea Party favorite Joe Miller lost to incumbent, Republican Senator, Lisa Murkowskis write-in campaign in 2010. This shows the voters in that state were not yet willing to elect a right wing extremist to represent them in Washington three years ago. The question now becomes, how far right will Alaskas voters be willing to lurch in 2014? Having seen the gridlock caused by Millers Tea Party cronies last October will that encourage or discourage voters? Like all conservatives and neoconservatives, Miller has no workable solutions for the many isssues faced by this country, and as a Senator, he would only exacerbate the problem of our stagnating Congress. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/power-p...-miller-back-in-the-fight-222055277.html?vp=1
AK Tea Partyers overplayed their hand. They got Miller the Nomination....but saw Murkowski get re-elected as an Independent, thus showing the AK TP for a paper tiger outside of Republican voters....and allowing Murkowski to IGNORE the Far Right in Alaska without any fear of the Tea Party, etc. Clear to see...she supported cloture on the Budget deal and didn't back Cruz on the Shutdown. She's not afraid of the Tea Party back home....because they threw their "best" at her...and she beat him, even without the official Party nomination.
Nationwide, the old, white people that make up the rank-and-file of the Tea Party should be careful what they wish for. They forget back when the Koch Brothers first founded the Tea Party, their rallies had many TP members protesting the Affordable Care Act with signs that read, “Keep your hands off my Medicare.” What these simple-minded Tea Partiers do not realize is, once their beloved, ultra-conservative congressmen have repealed Obamacare, Medicare will be on the chopping block. Like all right-wingers, they cannot think that far ahead.

GM is a member of Big Business, and Big Business has the right to screw small investors, that IS the usual right wing song and dance. After all, it is the right wing’s duty to defend the rights of the fat cats to profit in any way possible. Many of the posts by you righties on these message boards prove this.
"...the Wall Street crooks must be allowed to continue to screw the small investors." Taxcutter says: Better than being strangled by Big Government.
