Less than two days after a Southern restaurant chain pledged to pull Duck Dynasty merchandise from its shelves, the company is reversing course, ABC News reports.

In a Facebook post, Cracker Barrel — the first major retailer to take a stance on Phil Roberston’s controversial statements — said it would continue to sell some Duck Commander merchandise but would continue to evaluate the products.

“When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that’s just what we’ve done,” the company wrote in a Facebook post.

There is no exclusive connection between homosexuality and AIDS or HIV and I know you can't prove otherwise. You have no medical proof.

And where is this thunder? He's not back on TV and probably won't be any time soon and uh...so some Southern food chain, that frankly isn't that grand anyways, went from not selling their stuff to selling their stuff again. for what it's worth, DD gear has been on truckstop clearance shelves for weeks before this poop hit the fan.

 

Actually in addition to Cracker Barrel A&E network has caved. They have announced that Phil will be on the next season of DD. Which I will not watch as I did not watch any other season.

Maybe it was not him alone but someone made enough noise to make the network back down.

BTW no one claimed an EXCLUSIVE connection.

Protesting , on either side , is a good representation of a open market ... What regulates an open market is word of mouth . I haven't seen any on the right calling for the government to force AE to show DD. If I missed them , by all means show me .

 

Cracker Barrel is a big employer of gays....so that is understandable but what is funny is the Duck Dynasty brand belongs to A&E....hahahaha! Phil Robertson could care less.

The one thing about the controversy I find interesting is that it will probably boost ratings for the show which was already huge.

This means more $$$$ for the stars and the networks.

He never said it was a homosexual disease. Why would he need to prove something he never stated or claimed?

He statments about HIV/AIDS are not homophobic either but merely accurate in a scientific/medical sense.
