Appearances are deceiving, especially when it comes to politics. In fact, judging on appearances with politics is incredibly shallow. It's a problem for both the left and the right.

I don't think it is his restaurant which makes this fishing trip even more laughable. Buried in the OP is that it is a franchise owned by a corporation. Keith apparently just gets paid to have his name on the door.

Toby Keith has the right to put such a sign on his restaurants. But from a business and PR perspective it doesn’t seem wise. It seems like the same kind “not knowing your audience” mistake that the Dixie Chicks made.
