I'm not really certain at all if a God or something resembling that enitty exists or not, but I am curious. I used to ask people for concrete, physical proof, and while they could not offer none, in a way, I can understand this as being a plausible thing, also. In a sense, no scientists can offer you direct proof of a black hole, they will merely give you great articulations and estimations that, to them, leave little room for contrary thoughts.

So I decided that I would ask some religious people a few questions (and I don't care what religion it is). The only thing I ask is that (a) you give me what you honeslty feel with absolute certainty is real relating to the question. No guesses or assumptions. (b) I would appreciate it if anyone who does not agree with religious beliefs keep it to yourself. This thread is not about cross-interrogation, but more curiosity. However, if you want to, you may add questions to mine that don't com off as insulting or anything like that.

Those who answer, you may answer any question you want, and skip any you don't want to.

    1. Have you ever had a certain (by your standards) encounter with a principal figure of your religion- like God, himself, or Jesus, or Muhammad, etc? Please describe if you can.

    2. Have you ever had any encounter that could be desribed as a certain religious experience? Please describe it you can.

    3. Have you ever been told any opinions on the current world or anything outside of yourself in the religious encounter? Have they ever expressed a viewpoint to other people, places, events like wars or such?

    4. Have you ever been told about what lies beyond life during these events, as in what death looks like?

    5. Do you get the feeling that you are talking to humans, non-humans, or things that were once human...or what?

    6. Have you ever seen a religious figure or experienced a religious experience that is outside of your fiath? For instance, have you, as a Christian, ever experienced or heard Muhammad the Prophet. And any Islamic people, have you ever heard Jesus...etc?

    7. Have you ever received any premonitions about the future from these experiences, not directly related to yourself, but the world around you, or even the area around you? Are they usually positive or negative?

    8. Has God ever taken form? What did he look like and sound like?

    9. What do you believe is the nature of God? How does he or where does he stand in relation to what you know about the world and nature?

    10. How did you come to know of God? did you experience him yourself, or did you hear of him from others? Are there any who have not seen God and still believe?

    11. Aside from whether he would ask you or not, if, for certain, God told you to kill yourself or someone you love, would you? (this is not a trick question, or something meant to corner you and I will not offer any cross-interrogation of your answer other than more curiosity into how it makes you feel, personally)

    12. Has God or a religious person ever expressed a negative or intolerant view toward another religion, or people, or person? (politics, races, countries, other religions, philosophies and ideals, neighbors, etc)

    13. Have you ever been able to experience your religious experiences with another, such that you and them can say you saw and experienced the same thing at the same time?

    14. Has God or a religious figure everi insturcted you to do anything...aside from being good...like go to another country to help poor people, or something like that?

If there is anything that you, the religious, wish to add that is certain about your religious experience, but not necessarily personal in nature, that can help with the concept of such a thing, feel free to add to it.

I didn't personally but my daughter did. She saw the Virgin Mary standing behind her, but not with her physical eyes but with the eyes of her soul. This is the way she described it.

    .
I have seen something taking the form of a dove fly out from the Church altar once among other things.

No, but I am Orthodox and we do have prophecies from glorified saints.
These encounters would be demonic and not from God. God enlightens a person from the inside out.

Never had that experience, nor do I plan to have it. They would be demons you know?

No, not even within my faith.

Only in regard to family members.

It would be a demon not God. Even satan can appear as an angel of light.

God consists of Pure Love. It is His Love which binds the world together, without it the world would fall apart.

God can only be known through faith. When you have faith in Him, then He will make Himself known to you.

Only satan would ask someone to kill, it would be against God's nature since God consists of Pure Love. When we say something is the wrath of God, it is only an expression. God cannot be wrathful. The disturbances are caused by our own sins.

I don't know about God, He doesn't talk to me, but people always do. It's human nature.

Oh yes, I have seen very tangible miracles.

    No!

I think I have said enough. But I enjoyed this.

If there is a God ,God will show you.

Unless you don;t want to believe in God, then thats your path in life.

Unless you just don;t give a tinker's toss to any of it…then thats your lot in life…

it's all good for you are an eternal being with forever to figure it out...

Mohammed is not a supernatural figure and not a God. He would not appear or talk to people. He was human. A wall of questions that starts from ignorance is not a great way to start the conversation.

Yes but Mohamed was given the verses by an angel, but what kind of an angel was he, because the angel of darkness can appear as an angel of light. :confuse:

I have a Persian (Iranian) and once-Muslim friend who was visited by Jesus. Jesus touched his back and healed him of chronic back pain for which he was about to have surgery. The doctor told him he no longer needed surgery. He's now a Christian.

If you want concrete evidence that god exists, you need to observe the celestial bodies, as they are the gods. it is said through astrology that they affect our future, and lots of people find evidence there. well, they either find it evident, or they are lying to themselves. but, this is not concrete enough, i would have to explain why the gods are celestial bodies, yes?

Now, if the moon, for example, affects our tides, then that is physical evidence of a goddess affecting life on earth. an eclipse? also gods behaving or not. i point to gravity - where the celestial bodies have an affect on magnetism here on earth - that affects our moods and futures. these things have energy unseen, and will pull earth's energy this way or that with them or against them.

As you can see, there are many celestial bodies influencing life here on earth. the sun holds them in place and gets some momentum, and, through it's consistency, we have developed a steady flow of life. through this spinning, trees may breathe oxygen at night, and carbon dioxide in the day. This is essential for them, and, without the ozone layer, which is formed of oxygen three or o3, the trees would not be able to make enough oxygen to support life, and the without the ozone layer there would be no life. conversely, if there was no trees making ozone, there could be no ozone, so, they must have been made together, yes?

Now, the influence from other planets plays a role on earth.

So, as we can see, life on earth is affected by the 'gods.'
