For example in my country when someone acts too greedy or plays unfair with money, some people traditionally say " you are an hebrew ", " you are a jude ". Where does this tradition come from? You do realize up until the last century Jews were not allowed to own land in a lot of European countries, and they were limited in what they could actually do…hence the diamond and jewellery industry was big for them.
Even in the sixties me ole man drove us up north in Quebec and saw signs in front of vacation spots like country clubs and inns "No Jews allowed"..the discrimination is an abomination, but it tends to make for a stronger people.
