Indeed. When Israel massacres civilians the media narrative is such that it presents these massacres as a "war", as, for example, a "Gaza conflict" between two sides engaged in "fighting". This is the standard fiction, as Tim Llewellyn, the BBC's former Middle East Correspondent, noted:

"In the news reporting of the domestic BBC TV bulletins, 'balance', the BBC's crudely applied device for avoiding trouble, means that Israel's lethal modern army is one force, the Palestinians, with their rifles and home-made bombs, the other 'force': two sides equally strong and culpable in a difficult dispute, it is implied, that could easily be sorted out if extremists on both sides would see reason and the leaders do as instructed by Washington..." (Llewellyn, 'Why the BBC Ducks the Palestinian Story, January 15, 2004).

Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert, one of two foreign doctors working at Gaza's biggest hospital, al-Shifa, told CBS News:

"I've seen one military person among the hundreds that we have seen and treated. So anyone who tries to portray this as sort of a clean war against another army are lying. This is an all-out war against the civilian Palestinian population in Gaza and we can prove that with the numbers." (CBS News, January 5, 2009; http://uk.youtube.com /watch?v=Ev6ojm62qwA)

Even the death toll cited above does little to communicate the true one-sidedness of the wider violence, injustice and cruelty. One hardly knows where to begin. For example, largely unmentioned by the media, prior to the Gaza invasion, 14 Israelis had been killed by mostly homemade rockets fired from Gaza over the preceding seven years as against 5,000 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks. (Seumas Milne, 'Israel's onslaught on Gaza is a crime that cannot succeed,' The Guardian, December 30, 2008; www.guardian.co.uk/ commentisfree/2008/dec/30/israel-and-the-palestinians-middle-east)

Personally, I think Palestinians would prefer Israel stop "doing terror" and 24/7 occupation and allow industry and a proper workforce to form and forget the work visas idea (never heard such nonsense).

I never felt inclined to retort to your condescending, argumentative, agravating nonsensical idiocies in general since people of your stripe are thankfully a minortity now in Germany... I do suspect you are an Arab and flaunting your biased little shtick to elate yourself to your heart content here will not change the demographics ... but injecting your inapropriate references and your hate of Jews is a wishful thinking.

Birobidjian was offered to the Jews by Russia and we are thankful to them for this benevolent jest. We are very happy in our old patrimony where the mothers and Fathers of Israel are buried, where Archeological artifacts, of towns and cities began with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob... This is a Jewish Land from time immemorial and the Arabs are only guests here and nothing else. There are 21 Arab countries created this past century for their self-determination... if they do not like it here, they can move to Germany or one of the 21 Arab States.

Terrible. Try to argue with some intellectual honesty, my friend. Frivolous usage of that term is as objectionable as the real thing.

Vulgar Irredentism. Arabs are no more guests in Palestine than I am in my home country. In fact they are significantly less - Arabs have inhabited the area for millennia whereas white Europeans and their descendants have only inhabited Australia for a few hundred years. By your standard, an Aborigine has the right to bulldoze my home and take my land. They've been inhabiting this place for more than 60,000 years. Are you in favour of this or not?

Actually, unfortunately for neo-Zionist fascists, the ancient Biblical imperative doesn't trump modern international law. Be thankful for what you had re: the pre-67 line and stop grabbing land that doesn't belong to you. I know that for fascists like you who crave the eventual establishment of the Greater Israel, such a plea will go on deaf ears, but I live in hope that one day people like you will eventually join civilization like the rest of us. The alternative will be your own demise. Your choice.

being critical of Israel's actions over the last 60 years, doesn't make one an anti-Semite.

    such logic is very self-destructive.

its suggests that Israel can do NO WRONG, and any accusation of wrongdoing is simply anti-Semitism.

such an arrogant attitude is not the way to make friends or keep friends.

let us not forget that one of the tenets of anti-Semitism is that Jews consider themselves to be better and superior to non-Jews. Let's not add weight to such an accusation.

I do not respond well to people of your ilk... But because I am trying very hard to control myself, I will not let anyone drag me so low as to make me hate him.

Without sounding repetitive. Israel is the Land of the Jews from Time Immemorial, we have history, the Bible and Archeological artifacts to back what I say... The Arabs squatters in Israel are Guests Only, if they did live here it was by squatting on Land that is not theirs... and since a handful ONLY can substantiate ownership of Real Estate. Go open a book.

it scares me that there is some truth to the accusation, that some Jews are supremacists, and even worse, use our past persecutions and suffering as an excuse to disregard our own bad actions and to disregard criticism of those actions.

anti-Semites see this and use this against us.

You and I are both Jews.

So I say this to you, as a fellow Jew and as a brother.

You need to be aware that your hateful & intolerant attitudes, and your re-writing of history, FUELS hatred of our people.

    It fuels anti-Semitism.

Of course, supremacism is not exclusively a Jewish trait. In fact the people who have views which suggest the opposite, tend to be anti-semites of the most despicable kind. We've certainly had a few of these types on here in the past. I certainly agree with your inference that the neo-Zionist power-brokers in Israel whose policies exploit "past persecutions and suffering", as the means of attempting to justify the persecution and suffering of others, is counter-intuitive.

Birobidzhan was planned by Stalin to exile jews thousand of miles away from the central part of Russia. Jewish leaders were executed, jewish schools and theaters were shut down etc.

It's not criticism, but lie and defamation of Israel.
I tried to discuss to you but understood that it is senselessly.
And yes, your use of words like "ZioNazis" is disgusting.

PM Netanyahu Attends Tree-Planting Ceremony in the JNF Grove of Nations in
    the Jerusalem Forest
(Communicated by the Prime Minister's Media Adviser)

    Tu B'Shvat ohhhhhhhhhhhh Tu B'Shvat

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this morning (Wednesday, 15 January
2014), attended a tree-planting ceremony at the JNF Grove of Nations in the
Jerusalem Forest. Also in attendance were Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, JNF
World Chairman Efie Stenzler, Chinese People's Association for Friendship
with Foreign Countries President Li Xiaolin, members of a Chinese
delegation, members of JNF Argentina, Masa Israel Journey participants, JNF
employees and children from the Henrietta Szold School in Jerusalem, where
the Prime Minister studied as a boy.

    Prime Minister Netanyahu said:

Tu B'ShvatShvat and this planting are a deep expression of hope and faith.
Here you are not planting a tree for the next two days or even two years,
but for decades. The faith is in the future and the hope is for its
realization, and we, of course, have realized that hope here in these hills.

I call your attention to the aerial photographs from the 1920's
    . If you look
at them, you will see that everything is desolate. You hardly see any trees
and you hardly see any bushes on these hills, which are now covered with
forests. It was not always like this. If you walk from here through the
trees, through the ravines and valleys, you will see terraces, remnants of
ancient agriculture that our ancestors managed here on these hills in
Biblical times and after them in the Mishnaic period, when Jews lived on
this soil, cultivated it and grew plants and trees. When we left the
country, everything was uprooted – and when we returned to it over 100 years
ago, during the 19th century, we brought the land back to life and restored
life to the ground. We started to plant and to build and the difference is
    truly amazing.

The World Chairman of the JNF said something here which is needs to be
reiterated – Israel is the only country that had more trees at the beginning
of the 21st century than it did at the start of the previous century. This
is part of our faith and our hope and I remember as a child, when I was at
your school. We would go out into the yard on Tu B'Shvat, I think there are
tennis courts on this yard today, and we would plant trees there.

At my house on Haportzim Street, not far from the school, I would go out
with my father and we planted trees. Today these trees are very big. My
father was quite the perfectionist; he would teach me how to dig the pit and
prepare the soil and since we did not have a hose then, he would take a
water can, like you took, and water the tender shoots so that they would
grow properly. And they grew just as the trees here will grow.

We believe in the future of our country. We are a link in the chain of
generations. We returned to our country in order to stay here and strike
root in the land, and this we are doing not just in planting trees, but in
building the country – in Jerusalem, and in the south, north and center.

There is a very great revolution going on in the Negev and the Galilee. We
are building expressways and railways. We are moving the IDF to the south
and building a medical school in the Galilee. We are bringing investors to
these places from all over the world because they, like us, also believe in
the future of the State of Israel and in the future of the state of the
Jewish People. The future is ours and the young shoots'.

You children will continue to plant trees and my task as Prime Minister is
to ensure that in another 50 years or so, when you and your children, and
maybe your grandchildren, come here, you will stand here and you will ensure
that the State of Israel will exist and flourish forever."
