Without trolling, I drew an eerie parallel when I glossed over this famous quote:

All you have to do is draw a few parallels to see where the Koch Brothers and company have been leading the Tea Party neocons:

Revision of the last 4 sentences:

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them their rights[/B ]are being attacked, and denounce the liberals for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to economic danger. It works the same way in every country."

    I only inserted / changed 3 words.

The Tea Party of now is entirely corrupted from what it originally was. Honestly, the entire movement is ironically misnamed. The Boston Tea Party was a revolt against corporate influence when the British East India Company sought to dump a bunch of tea on the American Colonies because they couldn't sell it in the British Isles without incurring higher taxation. The Tea Party then was about rallying against corporatism and rebelling against taxation that was passed without representation in the British Parliament.

Nowadays though, we do have representation, it isn't adequate enough, but that is beside the point, and the middle class actually pays less than their fair share of taxes. The Koch brothers, wealthy beyond that of the middle class, seized on that and planted the seed that the middle class is overtaxed, when in reality, the rhetoric they were using and the candidates they support, are more likely to give tax breaks to the rich like the Kochs. Of course, in many places where the Tea Party is the strongest, there is a distinct lack of critical thinking skills, and thus, the electorate are more likely to be snowed.

Lol, how'd I know it'd be more of that Koch brother bs? I'm not surprised you will pounce on their 1.5m in donations to 527 organizations and ignore Soros' 32.5m to 527s.

You obviously can't find anything inaccurate about it.

How am I being manipulated again? I don't see how any of what you just said pertains to me.

It doesn't have to, it only has to titillate the liberal mind with dogma only they believe.

    The usual tripe.

    Koch Brothers bad.

    Soros/Buffett/Hollywood moguls good.

Sounds to me like you are being manipulated.

Hollywood moguls aren't advocating for policies that will hurt me and help them.

Apparently. At least for those who thinks this is a valid point or arguement.

They use the same logic as how they know who is racist and who isnt. They have no evidence just good ole liberal "feelings....nothing more than feelings"

What benefit do you think a rich man would gain from advocating liberalism rather than conservatism?

Clearly the Koch bros want lower taxes etc, so what do you think Soros etc gets?

I was looking at his paragraph and if you replace "peacemaker" with racist it pretty much follows the same logic. Turns out you can practically make anything mean anything if you change the words around. Who would have thought?

People of any class can benefit under either ideology, rich or poor. I don't know why you would pretend otherwise.

You are making too much sense. Be careful.

No, please enlighten me as to how a billionaire like Warren Buffet is helping himself by advocating for higher taxes on the wealthy? He is asking to be "robbed" by the government, no?

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders."

Democracy is the tyranny of the majority, what the Tea Party supports is a limited Republic. Under a Republic the leaders cannot do their own bidding, they are limited by law to execute only those powers which are expressly delegated to them by the people.

You mean the same Warren Buffett who keeps getting in trouble for tax evasion?

I don't see the polarity here between liberalism and conservatism, both advocate different forms of collectivism.

Lock him up then. He's obviously trying to evade taxes in every way possible. Don't forget his dozens of off-shore accounts too.

I can't respect someone advocating for higher taxes and leading a coalition of billionaires in philanthropy and to pay more taxes. I just cant.
