If I want straight, unbiased news, I watch Al Jazeera America. If I want to listen to a commentator that is intellectually a little more stimulating, albeit biased, I'll watch Chris Hayes, although he speaks too fast for me. Rachel has become too wordy on a given subject, although she does her homework. Chuck Todd is very good. If I want to watch sheer lies and the epitome of bias on those channels, Hannity is a sure bet. An egomaniac who frequently packs his shows with unvetted shills. O'Reilly is better than he used to be. For a great mixture of sheer comedy and dullards, Fox's morning show with the Three Stooges is the way to go. Morning Joe used to be better than it is now. Joe dominates too much and they could drop Mika, as she adds nothing. Matthews and O'Donnell can bring their political experience to the table. Huckabee, bless the seemingly gentle old fart, offers nothing except perhaps bad music at the end of his show.

Foxnews and MSNBC aren't even news channels. They are places where people go to have their views reinforced.

Beckle is a hard wired old school union liberal. If you think that makes him balanced you just don't understand political reality in this country.

At least Fox will dig for the truth. MSNBC and CNN only report what the administration wants them to report. I don't know how anyone could watch MSNBC. They lie and distort the news so much, you can't believe anything they say. Besides having a potty mouth.

Both of you have your beliefs reinforced by Fox. You couldn't help but defend Foxnews.

Poll after poll has consistently proven Fox News to be the most objective news source of all. Even over the big three major networks. Chances are, if you are bothered by this, then you are probably hard left and have a difficult time distinguishing facts from feelings. Which makes you wrong, not Fox.

Also and sorry to post two messages. I could have editted the last one, but this one is kind of a different subject.

Ever think about how most(or a lot of) conservatives news/radio shows have the name "truth" or "fair and balanced" or something to that effect in them. O'Reilly's "No spin Zone" where everything is spun. Herman Cain's morning radio show where he claims to provide you with the "truth", but yet he provides a lot of opinion, which is portrayed as truth. Fox's tag line of "Fair and balanced", but yet it only tells one side, as admitted by Chris Wallace when he interviewed Jon Stewart.

But yet, we don't see liberal shows doing this. Its as if the GOP has to tell their readers/listeners what the truth is(which is actually false), where liberal shows leave it up to the viewer to decide.

With Fox and MSNBC, both of them push their viewpoints, but at least the viewer clearly knows what they are getting. CNN is clearly left but PRETENDS to be neutral, which I find to be FAR more insidious.

FOX watchers crack me up. They can ignore reality, quite well, and project their own version of it, with such....humor.

Probably. I just find it humorous that FOX watchers just salute and keep marching, like lemmings.

Probably. I was just commenting of the poster's allegiance to FOX and how they are the full truth, and nothing but the truth. FOX is ridiculed and known nationwide for their biased right wing rhetoric. Watch SNL sometime. It's second nature. That's really all I'm saying. Look at this thread's own poll, for that matter. It's a given.

I think it's also the same reason why MSNBC is blowing CNN away, while Al-Jazeera America struggles to gain a foothold. More and more Americans are preferring to live in a echo-chamber, watching and reading only news outlets and websites that are slanted to their view and confirming their pre-conceived notions. Partisanship and catering to an ideological audience apparently makes big bucks.

Your neglecting to mention a major key factor dude; other polls and studies have shown that a plurality of Americans are Conservative leaning -meaning they make up the largest bloc but not past the 50% mark-. Of course the polls would find Fox to be the most objective news source of all since it caters to the largest numbers of Americans.

Anyone who relies on television as a primary source for news is a fool.
